Do you have a claim Broderick?
Have you called Det. McGuffey?
Counting myself, we've got three who have called so far and would welcome your contribution.
i do not
just a curious reader
just wondering how its played out

All,
Detective McGuffy and I spoke this morning and he is ready to submit our case to the DA. If you have any claim with Chris Wilson, you must call the detective now (423-821-1226) to get on-board.

Additionally, if you know of anyone who is owed money or product from Chris, please help us get the word out. A broader announcement using MUD would be helpful if someone could direct me. Woody!?!

Sorry for your loss but adding another claim will help our case.
I remain hopeful as I've now heard a few stories of Chris making restitution.

Det. McGuffy is all over this and waiting for any more names. Let me know when you've called him and I'll give him the go ahead with the DA.

Last call!

I have dealt with Chris. I had a bit more success. After showing up with a part that was not as described (I refused delivery, but gave him another chance) and never delivering the other parts I wanted. I filed a Paypal claim and received a full refund. Good luck guys! I hope you get your money back.

Again, welcome and sorry you got hit.
The detective is out until tomorrow. I'll call him then to provide an update.

The Detective will file our case with the DA this week and I'll report back again in a week or so with an update.

Additional folks...
Please don't hesitate to come forward as your claim can be added to our case anytime.

Welcome aboard Cruisnman.

While looking for other occurances of Chris's activity on CL yesterday, I saw a post describing our situation and our detective's number. Wasn't up long before someone flagged it. Hmmmmmm?

Thanks to who ever made that attempt to get the word out. Wouldn't break my heart to see it up again. ;)

Our weekly update from the detective is that one more claim came in yesterday due to that CL alert ad that somebody posted. We are still hopeful that more will step up so please continue to get the word out to our brothers in the South.

We are also hearing that Chris has surfaced with his own claim that 'everyone has already been paid'. If any of our claimants settle with Chris, please post your update here immediately. If Chris happens to feed you that same line, direct him to Detective McGuffy to help refresh his memory. tel:423-821-1226

Just left a message with Det McGuffey and should hear back from him tomorrow. He got me for 225.00 I haven't filed a claim with paypal yet and I'll wait till I talk with the detective tomorrow before I initiate one. I work about an hour south of Chattanooga, so if witnesses etc are needed, count me in.

Welcome Doc!

Seems like our numbers are growing every day. While it's sad that there have been so many victims, I'm encouraged that our case is growing stronger with every new claim. Please connect with the detective. He has been a staunch supporter and everyone continues to say great things about him.

Unless you paid (PP) as a business, you are probably out of luck. The rest of us trusted Chris and paid him as a friend. This distinction leaves no recourse through PP. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't remember if I sent the funds to a friend or a business. I looked at my PayPal records, but I can't figure out how to tell how the payment was made. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know. I've had people try to scam me on Craigslist before and have always figured it out before a transaction was made. I sure didn't see a scam coming with his ad, especially when he gave a legit email and phone number in his correspondences. I sent him a final email last week, letting him know I would take action if I didn't hear back from him. Glad I found this thread and glad to help in anyway I can.

If you paid as a friend, you paid the PP service fee which typically results in dollars AND cents. If you paid as a business, the business pays the service fee and your records would probably indicate whole dollars. If your PP record shows cents, you probably paid as a friend.

Of course, actually attempting to reverse a PP payment should be very telling as well.

Pretty sure we've reached the felony range but I'll post the exact charge from my next check-in with the detective.

I spoke with the detective this morning. He was really helpful and seemed genuinely concerned about this case. He took my information and added me to the list of folks with a claim against Chris Wilson. He said he was taking the case to the DA's office tomorrow. I guess we'll see what happens next.

Thanks for the update Doc.
Sounds like you were the 'last straw'.
