Good work Bernie, thanks for your efforts. Sounds like a fancy rental, wondered if he paid rent? You know, I'm pretty non-trusting when money is concerned but when I met this dude and he was in an LX470, Patagonia jacket fancy pants and shoes, Costa glasses on and on I figured he was good for it and certainly not a scam artist, as they say don't judge a book by its cover!
 
That does not seem right. He shows up on tax records as owning that place. I'll have to look some more. If anyone comes up with an address please pass along.

Local PD in Lookout Mtn TN has visited the home at 209 Fleetwood. They have confirmed that Chris lived there during 2014, but has moved out. He rented the place and it is now occupied by someone else.

When you called hamilton county did you call to make a formal complaint? Do you know what they could have done if he was there?
 
I've been out of town over the weekend and need to follow-up.
My last conversation with Hamilton County was that without a real address, I'd have to start the complaint with my local PD. I thought it would make more sense to research and give Hamilton what they need to proceed locally. I did complete the formal (on-line) complaint with the FBI and referenced this thread. That link was sent (PM) to everyone on this list already.

UPDATE: Lookout Mtn PD left me a voicemail today during work. No other details. I'll call them back first thing in the morning.

Thanks for the update. I'll try to go to courthouse tomorrow to find out more in regards to the address.

Just curious if any recent promises were made for payment to this he owes? Chime in if you got one
 
I've been quiet for a bit as he seems to be trying to make amends.

Late last week he sent me tracking numbers. I was skeptical, but UPS says the boxes are on their way. They should arrive on Thursday and I'll update then.
 
Last week, Chris promised to send half of my original order and provided a tracking number. Today the box arrived, well packed with good quality parts.
 
Well I guess I lose on the customer service front, his communication with me stated that because I filed a paypal claim "I only guaranteed that I wouldn't be getting the parts I ordered". No refund love either.

I finally connected with their local PD this morning and showed them this thread. They now have a full understanding of the situation and have opened a complaint. They personally know Chris, where he lives and need to know the full extent of the promises and money he owes.

Everyone with a claim should call Detective McGuffy @ (423) 821-1226

I also stated that a couple of us have received some of our orders and we want to see restitution continued. However, the fraudulent activitiy must stop as well.

All, I talked with the detective this morning. He was very receptive and interested. Please take a few minutes to call him and let him know the specifics of your situation.
 
Hey guys, got my parts this afternoon. They were as advertised and well packaged. My complaints with Chris are now moot, but I hope to see him resolve the issues with all of you. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out.

It's extremely important that is Chris owes you money or parts that you call detective McGuffey at 423-821-1226.

Everyone needs to speak up regardless of the amount.
 
423-509-5769 was the number he communicated with me on. Use to communicate with me I should add......he has ignored me for over a month. I just spoke with Det. McGuffey, nice fellah, hopefully he can rattle his cage and get him to do the right thing...............or lock him up:deadhorse:
