Possibly. It still sounds ok, not clattering like I would think a n engine with no pressure would sound like.

Just with the way my luck has been running I am apprehensive.

More than likely just the oil sending unit bud, but I understand the side of caution :)

SCREW IT!!! a
mechanical gauge that is Bet U B fine:bounce::bounce2:

As much as I hate it I may be missing the ramble :/ If I dont make it could someone pick up my shirts?

It looks like my problem might be the oil I used at my last oil change. Put 10-40 in it, as it warms up the pressure is going from normal to low. Going to dump the oil and put some 20-50 see if that makes the difference.

I know if been told by a couple cruiser guys that out engines like the rotella diesel engine oil, it's on here some where in the 60's section. The guys at acc in atlanta also told me that. So that's what I have in mine.

Glad to hear it was nothing to worry about. I always ran the diesel Rotella 15/40 in my F and 2F's with no issues, my cummins likes it too :)

The oil change did nothing for the pressure. Loaded the cruiser up on the trailer and found out none of my trailer lights were working (worked on the lights last month fixing them) got ticked off, unloaded the cruiser and went to town, bought enough wire to completely redo the trailer, first spot I started working found a write that was hanging and apparently had got snagged on some thing. Lights are working again.

As it stand now I am loaded up, packed, and going to leave after dinner, stop at a travel center when I get tired, sleep till morn in the truck and be to sl about 9 if all works well. Which it obviously has.

The thing that amazes me is the problem with the wiring was at the FIRST place I looked.... I mean seriously how often does that happen?

Yeah. It's normally the last place

Glad your going. Have fin. Be safe.

definitely want the 20W50 in this here part of the country - I run nothing else in my 40 Arizona

Well bad news, the engine is starting to develop either a loud tap or a soft knock any time it its revved over 2k. Parked in my shed until my funds catch up with my spending and I can work on it more. :/

Going to try and work a couple work overs.

Really not sure what I am going to do with it, if the engine needs a rebuild I really can't see putting much money into the 2F

Hey guy that's not good to hear. Any way possible it could be from the valves or something lose on the engine externally that may be vibrating and causing it? :wrench:

:meh: I think I smell diesel exhaust ------- yes indeed & the clatter of a 6.5 T:)

Damn I can't believe that Josh I'm sorry to hear it that's not common for a 2F I hope it's nothing major :(

I am sure they are good engines, but 200k is allot of miles for any engine.

I need to figure out if it is a top end or bottom end problem, could just be a lifter for all I know at this point.

The knock sounds slow for the rpm so I am thinking it is valve train.

I'm in the same boat with the 20r in the truggy.... Smokes like hooker after a job.

True, but normally good up to 300k, maybe just needing to freshen up the head and top end, My 80 could use the same but it keeps chugging on with a little TLC have a head gasket kit on the shelf in the shop for when the time arises :)

The 60 series we road with at GSMTR that had the 6.5 diesel did good on the trails and on the road.
