Actually, he called me and said he woud sell it to me if I wanted it. He knows I am passively looking for a 42. He said he wasn't sure why he bought it and didn't have any concrete plans for it other than to keep it safe. I am kinda hoping for an 83-84 but they are hard to get in a good restotation quality. 81-82 are a bit more common.

Not to hijack your thread, the frame is outstanding and the milage low, all original including paint. I wanted a 83-84 as my first was a 1983 tan BJ42. Like hens teeth I suppose...

Got a full ten hours in the garage today. Managed to finish the bed I started last Sunday. All together it took two full days to assemble this one. Gonna try and start another one on Sunday.

Started another one on Sunday. Here is a stop-motion film of almost three hours and a little over 700 stills. I'll keep shooting and add to this with the goal of a full construction.

Oh, I forgot to delist it, I'll go do that.

Youtube isn't letting me change it. I'll keep trying

Ok - youtube lets me in now from the home computer. Should be good to go.

Oh, and I shipped out the crate today :bounce: More room in the garage!!

Kevin,

After watching you whiz through that last video I gotta say, Man slow down drinking all that coffee !!

Kidding aside, quality work, a real artisan.

I added some more footage to the above film. Seems I drink alot of coffee

I'll be adding more and eventually have the whole assembly. If you watch closely you will see that I screwed up my build sequence by forgetting to weld in the two little cross members before adding the wheel humps. With the humps in the way I couldn't clamp them as I would have liked. So I turned one of the saw horses sideways and climbed up on top to use my substantial inertia to get them tight.

Ok, its a little repetitive but here is a video showing the complete assembly shown above. Everything except the finish grinding and sanding is shown.

Had to clean out the garage. First real warm day of the year. The bed in the corner is going to CO and is the one in the video above. The others left already, the crate to Flagstaff and the bed that was in the background went to Vancouver Island.

Kevin, I can't begin to tell you how much appreciation I have for all the work you've put into this project.........................and you're going strong right in the middle of playoffs!!

Well, my team didn't make the playoffs and there is only one Canadian team left. Might have to cheer for Pheonix soon, lots of ex-Flames on that team

I am, I'll make some calls to the other guys

Still a couple/ three weeks away by the time I get CO gone and build and crate yours, Jim's and Frank's. They don't all have to go at the same time either. In fact, going one at a time is easier logistically for me. I know Frank is in no hurry.

The one on the horses now is earmarked for you.

I need to confirm Jim's hole spacing on his 77 frame. Second mount from the front, center to center across the frame. The holes are either right over the frame rails or out-board of the rails.

Ummmm...... never thought this day would come. I've made a mistake.

I KNOW! Hard to believe right?

Not a biggie. The bed shown above that I said was for a buyer in CO isn't. I somehow got confused and made it a late model when they have a 1965 frame. So..... JIM! Your bed is ready! Sent you an e-mail and I just saw your reply chime in.

Sean, I'm sending you and email next. Got a little issue to discuss.

Ok, Sean is cool. I'm gonna make the one I'm building now, shown above on the jig, for the CO buyer and Sean will get next weeks assembly.

There! All smoothed over.
