I got one on for $98 on Amazon and installed it today, did a write up of the installation here:
$98 ARB-Clone Snorkel install -- It turned out GREAT!!

here is the link to the snorkel on Amazon. Free shipping took 4 days to arrive here in Austin, TX:

I'm super happy with it, and can't imagine a more expensive one being of better quality. This one appears to be an ARB clone, but with a perfectly molded antenna cutout. The install was straight forward, and like I said, I'm super happy!

The only negative was that there were no instructions (Use a 4.25" hole saw!) and the template needs to be modified to go over the antenna. This is the egg-shaped hole that I made, and it might help the next guy.

I never did get one for my 100 when I sold it, but I did buy one here in South Africa for my Prado 120. It had the same part number as the ARB snorkel, but was the equivalent of a couple of hundred bucks.

It's been on since September. The only problem I've seen is that the bolt heads on the bracket to the A-pillar, and the screws on the grate at the front of the head show surface rust.

I've been in dusty conditions only on one trip, no water crossings yet, but it seems to be performing fine.

It is the wet season here. We just drove through pretty hard rains at speeds up to 120kmph... I checked the air cleaner at the end of the trip and there is ZERO moisture anywhere in the box, the filter, or even in the tube; the head is doing its job...

Heat a 1" pipe with heat gun and press snorkel body.
They sell a China version with the cutout for the antenna. I mounted mine 2 years ago, but I'm pretty sure I only paid 99 and got free shipping. Looks the same as posted here, but with no LC logo.

I wish Toyota would have a round fuel filler door type opening in the snorkel location so we do not have to drill saw a hole. The door could be removed for snorkel installation and with the factory finished edges future rust not a concern.

These installs aren't hard. Taking a hole saw to the fender is nerve racking... nothing more. It's truly a  job.

Thanks for the write up. One question I didn't see addressed is should the water drain hole in the air box be plugged? I put silicone on it but wanted to make sure that was correct. The ARB Safari install I saw did plug the drain holes but it was a AU configuration.

I plugged mine. No problems here.

Bumping this up, I see that now these are down to $65 on Ebay, still about $100 on Amazon. I found one thread where someone's knock off cracked by the antenna dimple, but otherwise it seems these are fairing ok? Anyone noticed a difference in quality of the various knock offs? I don't see the ones with "land cruiser" printed on them available any more.

I've had the $100 Amazon special on since...August? Not a lot of time of course, but the build quality seemed really high for the price. No 'Land Cruiser' on mine, though I wouldn't have installed it if it did. If you're ever out by the Gateway, you're welcome to come by and thump it a few times to see what it's all about.

@Trunk Monkey mine has been 100%. I switched out the supplied hardware to stainless as it was rusting pretty quickly, other than that, no issues. Mines been on for almost three years or so I'd guess... been banged up on tree branches, sits in the sun, we get down to well below zero for days/weeks on end... no issues.

I won't be purchasing another Safari Snorkel unless I am building a "keep it till I die" rig. I can not see the $400+price difference.

I have seen many 100's with Safari Snorkels installed and I can say this one fits perfectly. 100% contact with the fender on all sides. The A-Pillar bracket is rivets, I wasn't to sure about it but it seems pretty strong. The intake hole is 4" exact and the template was correct with that. I managed to drop the snorkel mid install on concrete, so the front of the snorkel has a little...uhm, roughness :bang: oh wel

I think Mr. T probably did the ol' cease and desist to the manufacturers of them.
