Do any of you computer geeks know why i don't have the option of thumbnail picks anymore it only gives you full image??

I just tried it too, and I can't figure out how to do thumbnail pics either. They must have disabled that option for some reason. I'll look into it a bit more and let you know what I figure out.

Finished the welding on the driver's door, just have to put some icing on the welds and hit it with some primer.

i am on the last door and hopefully the last welding I have to do. Once again I ripped the fiberglass off the bottom to reveal this mess. I have learnt that you can't look at the whole thing you just look at one small area at a time and poof before you know it you goter done.

Starting on the top now and I decided not to repair my sides and got a great deal on both sides from seapotato. There are no rust holes just some surface rust and a few dents that I was filling today.

Those don't look so bad... you've been spoiled.

Some day, I'd like to get the the B-Pillars from a hard top to use when making a reproduction top... but that'll be many years before I have time to do that... if ever.

Unlike Seapotato I do throw things out sometimes. Going to the dump with my non-repairable sides.

I prefer giving cruiser s*** away to taking it to the dump when it comes to that...was a close call when we moved tho.

Drove right past schnitzers with the trailer full of s***, was seriously tempted. :bang:

I dumped 800 lbs of steel there, got $9. Not worth taking it to recyclers anymore.

Thanks for saving those sides Seapotato, I didn't realize how bad mine were til i stripped the top down the other day.
Now for the good stuff- The fiberglass top I wet sanded it with 2000 grit then polished and it looks like new.
The rubber seal between top and sides once cleaned looks like new.
The headliner is original and only has one small nick and the gutter on the fiberglass has a couple of small rust spots that I will deal with.

No pics but have done a lot of little things.
Removed headliner and cleaned inside and out, it was amazing how much dirt cam from the underside foam.
With headliner out made some repairs to gutter and painted it Toyota white and installed self levelling seam sealer in topside of gutter.
Did some prep work on 4 doors and 2 sides and some trim pieces so I can paint them.
Painted the inside bottoms of all 4 doors to try and stop future rusting.
The end is near I can feel it.

I epoxy primered everything yesterday and then hung the pieces up like sides of beef to cure. In about 3 weeks I will light sand then finish coat with dune beige. Then about a week later I will find all kinds of little pieces that I forgot to paint, it's Murphy's law.

I put insurance on it the other day and took it for a shake down cruise and it didn't shake and that's a good thing.
But- it did pull hard right and then an odd burning smell that turned out to be a seized caliper. Being the cheap bastard that I am I took it off to free it up and one of the 4 pistons wouldn't budge so off to Lordco because they had a caliper sitting on the shelf. An hour later I was screaming down the highway trying to get up to 80k,wind in my hair, bugs in my teeth, sucking in exhaust fumes that seem to come in when the top is off. One of these days I might actually finish this rig.
