Hello, new member but not a new visitor of the forum. So this is my first car, by choice of course, and I'm in the process of replacing the brake lines and fittings so I can finally drive it. I have taken a section of the rear lines off and I was trying to replace that section with a new line and fittings, but I had gotten the wrong fittings. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of fittings I should get and how many too. Thanks for any help.

What lines are you doing the hard lines or soft? Are you making them? They are pretty cheap from Toyota

Thanks for the reply. I'm doing hard lines and I am bending them if that is what you mean by making them. I have been to the local dealership but they were not very helpful. They wanted me to bring it in so they could do it, but I want to do it myself.

total, not sure, but figure 2 per line one on each end. I have one or two I would send your way, but if you need more then that you may need to get them ordered from the dealership. are you replacing the lines that run along the frame or just the ones on the rear axle

Thanks. I need all the fittings so I need a good amount. I'm replacing all the lines. They are pretty done for. Holes all over the place and a few dead lines from previous owners. I just have the rear axle lines off.

for the cost it may be worth just getting the lines from the dealership, they come pre bent with all the fittings. or if the fittings are in ok shape you can reuse them on the lines that you are making up. and id change out the soft lines as well if your doing everything

There are Land Cruiser parts specialists on this forum that can help you. @beno Onur from Land Cruiser Parts and Consulting is top on my list and is a generally awesome guy.

@Shickalee
Most likely you will not be getting them from the Dealer, I misspoke.

Depends on the iteration.

Most hard lines are discontinued. Depends on year and iteration.

I almost sent you a text to ask this very question earlier today. Wanting to redo the lines on the front of the 91.

1/2 of the OEM front hard lines on a 1991 are still available

Which half?
