So a bracket that holds my brake lines along the top spindle arm (is that right?) has corroded to the point of breaking.

I've tried to look it up by schematics but I can't confirm because none of the places selling them have pictures of parts that ancillary.

I think this bracket is: 47351-60230 or 47251B

Can anyone here either confirm or correct that? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

For the record, you were right...the xxxxxxx240 :)
I'll add, for the record ;) :

The facture, is a result of wrenching the bolt. The bracket can't handle the twisting, as result of frozen threads of bolt.
If not replacing flexible brake line. I avoid removing the bolt that holds flex line to bracket. I just remove bolt, holding bracket to steering knuckle.

If I must remove flex line bolt, I:
  • Brush threads clean.
  • Use P-oil or ATF oil and let soak on threads.
  • In some, I use heat. "Induction coil" heat. I do no use open flame. One can use open flame, if brake line not being reused. But would need to get ABS wire out of area. When I use heat. I add P-oil to threads while hot, too cool and draw in P-oil.
  • Hold bracket with large wrench or channel locks, so it can not rotate/bend.
  • Use hand tools to break bolt loose. Which gives, better feel and control.

Yeah, I can see that. I had generally the same in mind in regard to stabilizing the bracket with vice grips to remove that flex line bracket bolt.
Although it fractured on its own, not because I was wrenching on it (unless that occurred prior to my ownership.

Good catch....One more thing to add to the EOCP check list ( early onset cruiser paranoia )

Very cool! Whats up with the Red CV boots?
