hey guys-
i am a stock kinda guy. and i love trying to acquire everything needed to bring it back to when it rolled out of the factory or dealership. the hunt and search is as much fun for me as actually getting my hands on thing.

well, in the past i have purchased a large tool roll from gr8ful, along with a large and medium from tanker120. i also have a tool bag i got from our good friend racer65.

about a year ago when i got the one from gr8ful i started the hunt for tool. i wanted toyota tools, or at least the company that made them for toyota. the thread on here by wscbill was a great help along with others who i asked questions of along the way.

well today, the fruits of searching paid off as two boxes arrived in the mail. along with all the tools, grease pumps, etc. i was able to locate the engine adjust kit, and the special service tool set. i have no idea how to use them, but they are in the kits. i now have tools for three complete sets, plus one partial set. all i need is another 40. now i know mine are '78, and they came with the tool bag, but the large rolls are just to cool. and well made.

here are some pics.
this is everything laid out, i even got tool bands to attach to floor.

and all three rolled up.

which one is better? i honestly cant say, all three bags are well constructed and i am honored to be able to have them. thank you guys.

only downfall is the shipping of the tools from japan is expensive. but nothing about only 40's is cheap.

Now that is VERY cool!!! Nicely done!!

It took me about a year to put my tool bag together. The search is indeed fun.

You wouldn't happen to have the blue plastic bag that the Inspection light came in do you? I have been looking for one of those since I bought my rig!!

Do they not come with them anymore?

Unfortunately no. I am like you though, trying to stay as Stock as possible (had to upgrade the radio to a Sirius XM compatible one though because I need my First Wave!!). I have an inspection light, but not the elusive blue bag. Probably unobtainium but I always try.

I did not know that. Now I'm gonna have to hoard those too.

@65swb45

Let us know when A&E contacts you for an upcoming episode of hoarders ... I will need to tape that episode :)

:p

Enough thread hijacking. My hat is off to the OP for his efforts to complete the tool roll project with Japanese tools.

@Bones You suck bro,i wish i didn't read your post now you got me looking for Toyota tools. I love original tools too but sometimes cost too much just to have it,i guess i have to tell the wife she have to sell them designer bags so i can buy more tools. :hillbilly::lol::meh:

I'm just kidding about you suck bro, thanks for sharing.

@65swb45 Mark if you buy more tools you might have to move to a bigger place, last time i was at your shop it's already busting at the seams.:hillbilly:

How expensive...Three years ago I put a original complete, except for the ignition kit, large tool roll on EBAY expecting a couple hundred at best.
No opening bid...it sold for 795.00 dollars.
I didn't have the need for them. I thought they'd be better in the hands of a collector.
I am curious of the second pic down. You call the screwdrivers "Toyota". Those screwdrivers are made by Vessel. I have all of their drivers. My original I sold came with wooden handles. The Vessel are way nicer. The red handled ones are "impact" drivers. The tang goes through the
handle to a steel cap on the back made to be bludgeoned
