Pat makes really stout awning mounts, so I got them from him at the same time i got the rack. Fit is great with the rack and the profile is just right.
Thanks— I figured th y were from him but haven’t seen them on website. Any other attachments I should know about?

I only knew because he mentioned them in the 80 series rack thread. As of now I’m not sure, the rack as a provision in the back for a roller. If you wanted to roll a canoe or long kayak it’s made for it, not sure what else Patrick has in mind? Hint hint - a mini ladder hopefully hint hint

Happy Bowfin Cruiser roof rack owner here. Top shelf product for sure.

okay boys, I've been waiting to see you new Bowfin owners post up but finally have to ask ... has anybody actually strapped / clipped / ratcheted / clamped anything up on top of their rack yet? I'm talking boats / kayaks / canoes, bags, shovels, axes, propane tanks, cargo boxes, water cans, gas cans, sofas, lazy boys etc. Anything OTHER than a roof top tent? Post your pictures!

I’ve had three bikes ratchet strapped to the rack and had them going down the freeway at 70.

No wobble, no movement. I’ll get pics again once we load them up.

Also had two kayaks up there with zero issue

I missed the reply there. But to reply, that hole is there for a roller as you guessed. It has been tested on my 100 and makes putting a canoe up on the rack a snap, super easy. I am working on the kit which is basically a 5/8 rod through bushings that fit in the rack holes, and rollers for a boat trailer. There will be a center support back to the rear cross bar specific to each series roof rack to support the rod or it gets a bit droopy in the center. Pictures are coming. Not sure on pricing and when it will be ready, but I will state as I have before that I will show pictures and what parts are involved because there may be some that want to make their own. OK by me, that's what Cruiser heads do.

Met Pat at the Solid Axle Summit in Ouray this year. Saw first hand his Bowfin rack on his impressive FJ80 rig. Light weight rack but very stout. As solid of a rack as you will find. Glad to see one is available for the 60. Will go this route on either truck when ready to add the RTT. Would be interested in knowing how much the rack adds to the height of the 60 and 80 (probably the same) to make sure I can still get the trucks in the garage.

Thanks! Can't wait for SAS 3 next year. Probably will donate another roof rack to the raffle, that was fun.

As far as the height goes, both the 80 and the 60 racks are around 2 1/2" above the middle of the roof. My 80 has a Slee 4" lift and 35's and it still fits in my 7' tall garage, my daughters 80 has 35's and OME heavy and fits fine too. My old red 60 was just on 30" tires and stock suspension so that was a way easy fit. The new 60 is in smaller pieces every day but still runs. I am going to load it up on the trailer and bring it to the powder coat shop to lift the body off of it hopefully sooner than later, so i will try to throw the rack on there and measure the clearance in my garage. It sits on 33's and has about what an OME 2 1/2" lift would be. Should still have tons of room but I will try to verify that.

I'm running 35's on my 60 on HFS lift and it just clears the door with this rack. 7' door adjusted to open above the door opening.
@iCruiser, you will be very happy with this rack.
Looking forward to seeing both you guys next year at SAS#3.

Might be a pipe dream but man I wanna make it to SAS3 in my new to me 60. Not much to do - body off, body work, paint, chassis blasted and painted/coated, 12ht installed, all back together. No problem

Slight hijack, but some of us at Music City Cruisers in Nashville area talking about coming to SAS next year as well. The photos I saw looked great this year.

Excellent way to meet some great folks from all over. @dogfishlake will be there again with his awesome products, hopefully on his newly finished HJ61.

So based on this last years vehicle prep, that list will take you 72 straight hours of work right?
