Too old (and lazy) to start another project like Bonnie/Frankencruiser so went for this instead. Still sticking with oddball Toyotas. We'd been eyeing them since they first came out. 2014 FJ Cruiser with 47k, bought new in UT, always dealer serviced. OEM with rear locker, ATC traction control (whatever that is) and comfort/convenience stuff up the wazoo. Picking it up Tuesday in Salt Lake City.
Hope I'll still be welcome at Pig Parties. Promise, like Rush did in his Dodge pickup, to keep a respectful distance behind your Pigs. Anyone want an aging BMW X5 road tested at 134 mph?

So are you planning on a RTT to knock over the hotel signs?
May have to attach parking alarms front and back on the tent. Thanks, I think, for the memory.
Hi to Leslie...
So the only reason to get one of these vs. the same year 4runner is the manual trans

is it a manual?
Automatic. 4Runners are like ants on an anthill around here. At least I won’t see myself coming and going. Also prefer the shorter length and the look.

Congrats Jim!
I always thought the FJC was a cool rig. We never did get that removable top that was rumored, but they are cool.
@FJBen were part of the crew that went to the sand dunes outside of Walden with one of the prototypes, and Bill Burke at the wheel. I got to ride in it and thought it was a great machine. You kind of feel like you are looking out of a mail slot when driving, but you'll figure it out!
It was below 0F all day, we never turned the rigs off.
They got all kinds of great pictures that made it in a few of the promotional magazines
