Ha! Thanks. I’ll look that one up for sure. Yeah I wanna do everything 100% right but 80% of the time I can only afford 20% of it all! Hence why I bitch and putter my way thru my own car crap even tho I might do it twice or even 6 times. Whatever. I call that building experience.
So the terminal is just hanging loose? It’s simply holding the wires together instead of the brown/orange connector?

Correct. Just making sure those wires are all nicely connected together in harmony. It seems those are the only wires that end up over heating the connector.

You know, you're getting the kind of education that most people have to pay for. I like getting paid to learn.

Pappy always said "There's nothing dumber than a college student..." Take that one with a dash o' salt

I hear you loud and clear. Also the reason I have no big desire to go get my RN.... as an LPN (licensed practical nurse) I have far more hands on w/ my patients. It’s a well known fact that most LPNs in rehabs/long term care have a boatload more experience than many new RNs. Even the clinical time they put in is drastically less then when LPNs are in school. Something like 30% to 80%.

Woah, i don't fix people. Too temperamental! Mad respect for you though, i bet you like fixing inanimate objects that do as they're told.

And today's fix is.....

Speedo cable! I knew the casing on mine was toast, figured i would let er eat until it actually broke. Unfortunately my "good" spare also had a break in it, although not as bad.

Here's my repair. About 15 minutes start to finish.

Your thread brings me great fun. Cable broke, ah I got a fix. And lowered Lexus! I’d love to give my little Nissan a lift, send the used springs my way! Ha!
Hey so I put together an ultrasonic cleaner today for half the price and no down time to buy a new one.... video on my thread.

Had some very bizarre things happening when i would turn on my heater motor. The turn signal indicators would light up, my interval wiper setting was inoperable, blower motor was slow, and my rear defroster switch would light up.

I stumbled on a thread recently describing similar issues due to a ground point behind the dash cluster.

Sure enough, the connector was a little charred, so i cut the white/black wires, soldered them together(i suck at soldering) and finally clamped them all in a battery terminal.

Problem solved.

I have a 62.
I can't locate that brown connector behind the gauge cluster.
Do u know if the 62 has that same brown connector?

I cannot confirm that. But if you post a pic of yours i might be able to. Honestly I'd you're unsure, just solder them together. It's just a ground junction poorly connected by a plastic terminal connector made in the 80s.
