Most I've ever seen at one time is 13. First Nor-Cal Pig-run, on the Rubicon. August of 2001. The March/April edition of Toyota Trails has the story and pics.

I fainted when I saw this pic & must've hit my head. I can't believe this is really happening!

Glad ur all smiles, Pighead!

I almost posted an ad in the classifieds for the '78 shell, but I'm not 100% sure of what Pighead & Ige need & don't need. And then there are my own hoarding issues to deal with. Like Pighead said, there may not be much left. As soon as we know more, I'll let you guys know...

I really enjoyed bs'ing with you guys today. But my lack of preventative maintenance started to get embarrassing. And there's a fine line between being interested & getting in the damn way! Even though I work only 15 minutes away, I'll watch from 'Mud unless I'm invited. Or I have some spare beer lying around...

The coolest thing I saw was on Friday when I was leaving the '78. I had barely got in the car when I saw Pighead immediately dive into engine bay. No hemming & hawing or "I'll get started tomorrow bs". He & Ige had all the fluids drained by the time I got home. They aren't fooling around. I already know they'll do my '45 next...

We were talking last night, thinking this might be a good idea.

Seriously...

I think Pighead and Igi are starting a Pig Rescue and Repair shop!!

Give us your tired, your poorly running.
Your hacked-up Piggies yearning to run free.
Your rusty refuse from your teeming hoard.
Send these, the gutless, the PO screw-ups.
We hoist engines here in the 'Sty...
(apologies to Lady Liberty)

You hoist more than engines! Admittedly, one of those cans of Rolling Rock may have been mine.

X2.

Hopefully this is a start of many more very similar, but can guarantee one more, if they'll still have me (since I'm the now the troublemaker here in Pigville. Bahahaha)

Cruiser Karma Repair & Restoration:
Restoring Peace & Balance for Your F-Series Soul!

I like it...

Have been thinking about something for last few weeks, mostly because I'm all about history, heritage, and lineage, but also because I figured this would be the highest form of gratitude I could express to Pighead and Ige for their involvement in my Pig project.

Want to do an engine bay plates noting who, where and when life was restored to my Pig, hopefully in a manner to the repros that Shane (Metric) produces, very similar in size and style to the PS ID plate, or one on the valve cover itself.

I kind of like the valve cover, but may seem out of place, can't say.

(I had intentions to do several, hopefully for a long line of those after mine, sequentially numbered, but only because I was hoping to be #1......since that dream is dashed by your precedence. I'm not as concerned about the numbering. Bahahahaha)

Just a something I figured I'd express here to see if anyone else thought a good idea and wanted to further develop.

Your "Cruiser Karma" idea is reason for posting, since it would be cool to have a company (not right word, but lack another) name to add, but needs some Pig in it.

Many years ago, I posted something about "PigHeads Universal Cruiser Karma University". (PHUCK U.)...probably a bad name for a shop.
Ige's Piggies? (She being the brains)

Ige & Piggy's 'Cruiser Karma restorations? (Restifications?)

I dunno, name is not so important as yet.

Engine bay plaques might be kinda cool, not so much valve cover, 'cause they're so interchangeable. Maybe half a dozen #1 to start...'cause they're all number 1 to us.

Got permission from the Boss to send out pieces/parts from the '78 to needy Pigs, also the carcass, whatever's left. Tucker gets the taillights, Delancy can have whatever choke pull & cable is left. Direct wishes to this thread so everybody knows. Local pick-up or driveway installation always preferred.

The steering column is about to come out as I leave today ...

Landcruiser or not, this is very cool. Within walking distance of the Pig sty...

I'm on the lookout for a good old style steering wheel, for my 71. What's bad is the center piece. If available, let me know.

Hey Scrapdaddy,
I think the centerpiece is missing. But if you want it, it's yours...

Send me a pm & lemme know what you think & we can go from there

steering column is in and hooked up (except for wiring) as i type ;)
tcase is cleaned up, thankfully, bosshog wants this for a driver, not a restore, so scrubbing was kept to five douchings with simple green and blasts with hose and five brakecleans with a scrub brush

pighead is prepping the firewall for the 78 brake booster/master swap

This is sooo cool!

I must apologize for violating Rule #4 of the Pig sty: Bring beer in a can. I got you on the next visit...
