Not loving my latest report, but at least I'm developing a trend that I can base my maintenance schedule off of
1. Motor got warm once around 315k miles when the lower radiator hose popped off after I failed to clamp it after doing the timing belt.
2. Mobil 1 HM 5w-30, Mobil 1 209a
3. 10k OCI
As I approach 400k miles with this motor, I was curious to know how it's wearing and if the Mobil 1 209A filter works as well as the plain 209. This particular oil sample followed a trip to Utah/Colorado (along with the motor going under water in Moab) and another trip to Colorado.

Because I thought I purchased 5W30 and it wasn't until I finished pouring in the first 5qts and went to reach for the single quart container before I finally realizing my mistake
Gotta work on my reading skills apparently...Not a big deal, it'll just be slightly thinner at operating temperature
The global spec for 2UZ is specified to use 40 weight oils (sometimes 50 weight) with the exception of USA with 30 weight due to EPA rules that may be prioritizing fuel economy over engine protection.
Just like the 3UR-FE (200 series) in US spec with 20 weight oils instead of 30, its running thinner than elsewhere in the globe.
Running a 5w-20’s pretty much 2 grades lower.

I’m only going to run it about 6k miles because I also put some AT-205 in it. It’ll be alright. I’m definitely not going to throw away $50+ worth of oil just because it’s 1 viscosity level lower at operating temp than the manufacturer recommends for our US spec engines. ‘06 & ‘07 actually recommend 5W-20
Have proof of that?

FWIW, I think you're totally fine with 5-20. With modern oils on a low stress Toyota/Lexus engine it's all very forgiving. These engines make a measly 50 hp/liter. The con rods and mains are living a real easy life. You're still showing less lead than my 99 was.
For comparison the finicky E60 M5 that struggles with bearing wear is pushing 100 hp/l.
An Evo X is 200+ hp/liter stock.
Koenigsegg Jesko is 300+ hp/liter.
Anyways, back to Cruisers, here's the 06 manual for my LX470. 5w-30 there. I run 0-40, but I'd take a 5-20 too as long as I wasn't towing something uphill in Phoenix in the summer.

Took some searching but I thought I remembered Toyota issued a TSB about it at one point. I’m yet to see it recommended in any 100 series manual, but I interpret the TSB as “don’t stress too much”.
If report says Sodium level is twice as much as the universal average, but all other items are normal. Truck has no coolant loss. Is that something to be concerned?

Just got my report back. Engine looks good. I forgot to provide them with the interval, it was 5,976 miles.
Transmission looks like that was probably its first oil change. I only did a drain and fill.

Anyone knows if the current Shell Rotella T6 5W40 is API-SN rated?
I know oils like the current 5W40 Delvac ESP still works well with gas engines. Looking at the mixed fleet rated oils that are potentially on sale at tractor / truck supply stores.

2002 LX470 with TRD sc ~ 6800 miles
I'm not really sure why I keep spending money on this. I suppose this go around was to give me some validation that going a bit longer between change intervals is OK. I'm going to stick with my 6k interval as this truck sees less miles now a days since it doesn't get daily driven to work. They mention aluminum and iron were a bit higher but not to worry, oh I'm going to worry now.
