Decided to tackle Rogers pass on the return trip and see how the cooling system did, normal operating temp has been 75-80° C. Got up to 85°C briefly with egts hitting 725 a couple times for short pushes.

Found this speedo face at the wreckers, out of a 88 Corolla. Has MPH and KPH and pretty much nailed my speedo correction within a couple km/h. the Toyota gods have smiled upon me.

Built a pass through for the diesel heater and put it through the paces for the last week. Another fun work trip in the Rockies between Banff, Canmore and Abraham lake.

Finally had some time at home, after crossing BC a couple of times. Sorted out some of the finishing details of the rear drawer system and I’m happy with the results. Bedliner sprayed on the plywood and Richlite for the drawer faces and pull out cutting board/counterspace

I'm inspired as I was kicking rocks over the fact my 74 has rust and a HG issue. I'm feeling pretty good about my situation! My rust is not quite as advanced as yours at this point...plus I live in the desert.

I’m lucky that this is 1 of 2 BJ74’s that I own and the second one is pretty much rust free. One day I’ll do the body swap to combine the best of the 2 trucks. Factory cable lockers, PTO winch, suspension seats and 130,000km on the clock. One day…
