FJ Cruiser should be fine, I'm not bringing my wife but the trip is open to all. We can meet at my house off Hwy 46, hit the HEB them hit the road. Thinking we should depart as early as possible on Thursday. Thoughts on departure time?

Couple questions for everyone. What rides are everyone taking? Communication? Solo or family?
Vehicle: FZJ80. Back up vehicle being my Jeep Liberty CRD if for some reason the 80 can't go.
Communication: Ham & CB
Solo sleeping in the back of the 80.

I'm taking the wife. She loves it out there. We're riding our fj62, we'll have a cb radio installed by then. Sleeping on the rtt unless it''s really cold.

I'm taking my LX450, probably solo sleeping in the back. my son might go and if so will bring his tent. I'm making some list now, will post up soon. I also have a CB and a couple of cheap hand held radios. No cell service in the park.

Looks like a nice mix of rigs!

LX 450 lifted and stuff
FZJ80 lifted

FJ cruiser. Taking my two boys. and taking a tent. will also have a cb.

A freind may tag along with his Durango.

Dang, sounds like a blast. Wish I could go, but this is my last weekend to hunt this year and gotta get some more meat in the freezer. Y'all have fun and post some pics upon return.

I'm sure some of you have been there before, but if not...make sure to stop in at the Starlite in Terlingua for a cold beer. Its worth the extra few mile departure.

I got the new Toyota Trails in the mail today and it has an eight page spread on Big Bend in it. Haven't read it yet. Just thought I would pass it on.

Stream, I have the camp sites planned with some daytime adventures planned too. We can discuss as a group to see if everyone wants to do something else. Still looks like 6 or 7 rigs, PM me for my home address or we could just pick a spot to all meet. I'm thinking of taking HWY90 unless you think I10 is better.

I'm down for whatever ya'll decide. Just be aware, depending on the wind I may not be able to hit 70mph. So I'll most likely be bringing up the rear.

Either way is fine with me. I've driven both. I think I10 is quicker but HWY90 is more scenic.

First time there, so I will do what the majority wants to do. scenery is always good. pm sent.
