Big Bend Trip

Thinking of planning an outing for a 2 or 3 night camping trip to Big Bend. Hoping to reach out to the austin group and even the High Desert group on of New Mexico. Average temps with the lowest chance of rain are November, February and March.

Thoughts are an overland type trip camping in a different spot every night.

Please post up if your interested and which month works for you.

Sounds like a plan. I usually have my annual solo trip to Big Bend around that time after my festival season ends. I like November but if work abides any month works.

Sounds fun. I'm to tentative at this point for my preference to matter. But, keep us posted when planned and I'd like to go if I can make it happen with work and family.

Got 7 interested to date. The votes as of today are:

3 - February
1 - March

I'm open, looking like November or February are the winning months. Several stated they are open as well. Let's lock down a weekend. Let's vote on these 2 dates
1 - November 13th - 16th
2 - February 19th - 22nd

February it is, I'll start working on a itenery, yes any other type vehicle is welcome but my goal is to find some challenging trails along the way. ( nothing is too hard) We got a few months to plan, still time for others to joint.

You will be fine. The hardest road in the NP is the Black Gap which I did in 2WD in my old Rubicon when my TC shifter linkage broke. I've also done it in my Jeep Liberty with no problem. Obviously my 80 did fine.
The state park has rougher roads than the NP which I haven't totally explored yet.
