They measure out mounted and on the Land Cruiser right at 33 in. It’s a little smaller than I was expecting.

Is your front camera relocated into the lower part of the arb bumper? When did arb start putting mesh in their bumper facia? Please post a front facing photo of your bumper. Thanks

Yes. I’m not sure when they started, but the 2016+ Summit series comes with the mesh. I have these pics on my phone. If you want better pics, I can probably get some tomorrow in the daylight.

First one is before the camera relocation into the bumper. The second is with the camera relocated, but it’s not straight on. Excuse the zip tied license plate. My wife got popped with a no front plate ticket that day.

Wow. I measured the 285/75/17 Ridge Grapplers Slee had put on their new shop Tacoma and they were almost exactly 34” tall. So goes it...trying to guess actual size when mounted. And ya, rim width matters...but that’s s full inch shorter. Rim width shouldn’t account for that much.

On the other hand...I think the best way to measure tire height is aired up, but OFF the vehicle, because it mostly eliminated PSI and truck weight squatting the sidewalls.

Would be curious to see what an sired-up, off-the-truck height comes to on those KO2s...

I had no idea about the changes. Pretty cool. Thanks for the reply and pics. Nice looking truck, hope you enjoy it!

0.3" more than 275/70/17. Atleast they are true 33s.

Do the ridge grapplers fit the stock LC? Any trimming required? I have an extra RW set Id love to put some bigger tires on. Although, I have a feeling once I go taller there is no going back.

Hmmm... Even 285/70/17's aren't 32.7"...so I doubt 275/70/17's are that tall.

My 285/70/17s on Rock Warriors were just BARELY 32".

But anyway... Ya. It would be nice to have a KNOWN tire that is actually a true 33" on the vehicle.

Sorry that was a typo, typing on cell phone, 285. I thought they were 32.7". Ill measure mine tomorrow.

Anybody running these 285/75r17 ko2 on RW wheels? Is it rubbing? Where? Holler if you know. Thanks

I haven’t been able to get a straight answer either. I’m getting close to buying one, and just finding out. If it does, great. If it doesn’t, then I’m selling my RWs.

What's the connection with selling your RW and KO2? regarding switching wheels?

Is it because you're determined to use KO2's and finding a wheel with offset to avoid rubbing? Or.....?

If I ever stop using RW's, it will be for something around +35-40mm.

Yeah kinda... what I do want is to run a 285/75r17 without relocating my sway bar, and I’ll do whatever I have to do to get that. If the offset of my RWs hinders that, then I’ll look into some Evo wheels with their 40mm offset.

Didn't know they had a 40. Hmmm...

$340 each...

Based on the past few comments, I’m guessing if I want to actually wheel this truck, I can’t run anything bigger than 33’s without rubbing. My RW arrive tomorrow. I’ll put the 285/75/17’s on and tell you if they run the KDSS. I’m assuming it’ll rub elsewhere on a stock suspension. I’ll live with some rubbing while I wait for suspension parts to come in.

Ya, my next tires will be smaller. I’m running 35x12.5x17 that are a little over 34” mounted, but the width means rubbing with my 50 offset.

They do well, and the light rub at full lock is not a big deal, but my bump stops do limit up travel that I still need to solve. With a little more leeway, I’ll take full advantage of travel that ai’m missing right now. Not keeping from “full wheeling,” but not ideal.

Bigger isn’t always better.

285/65r18s haven’t stopped me from doing any trails but I’ve usually experienced a tad more scraping than other trucks with larger tires. Nothing wrong with 33s.

If I wanted a rock crawler I woulda got a Jeep and got 40’s. Life is all compromises and I think the LC will give me a good balance of speed and crawly goodness.

Ya, I really think the LC is the perfect balance for what I like to do. It can handle rocks pretty well, and just about everything else but perhaps deep mud. Spectactular overlander. :)

If I wanted a rock crawler, I wouldn’t buy a Jeep. I’d buy a rock crawler. But brother... the second (if ever) my KDSS fails, SAS on 40s. Wouldn’t that just be awesome?

Absolutely, 33s will get you mostly everywhere. But in the east coast, the rock crawler trails are covered in mud with trees keeping it tight. It’s a lot tougher than west coast wheeling. Not saying it’s better over here, just requires a little different of a build. And I feel that is why I have always liked that 34x11.5 tire on production cars.
