I prefer the H1S. I rarely print in multiple colors and only occasionally use multi-material, so the dual-nozzle feature on the H2D doesn’t benefit me much. For me, the second nozzle is mainly a backup—if one gets worn or clogged, I can switch to the other.
That said, all these printers are extremely reliable. I’ve run production nearly 24/7 without major issues. My oldest X1C has been running for about three years, printing carbon-fiber blends, and the only maintenance has been replacing a worn nozzle.
With reliable printers, I can focus more on design and modeling. And these printers are FAST.
Here’s how I’d choose:
- Need multi-color printing → Get H2D
- Don’t need multi-color, want a larger print volume → Get H2S
- Want cost savings but strong capability → Get X1C
I was looking around the back of my 100 the other day while installing the M16V1 I ordered a few weeks ago and got to wondering if Ben (or anyone else maybe?) had ever thought about some sort of replacement piece for the 3rd row cupholder or the small storage space panel behind it? Seems like good places for a fuse panel or sockets maybe? I know other have put the Blue Sea fuse blocks in there and just leave the cover off, but thought a specific designed insert would be nice.
Does anyone know if a gatorade bottle will fit in Ben's improve cup holders?
