Theres a very large group called Seattle Cruiserheads, and we meet every month on the second Tuesday to talk cruisers and drink beer. We will meet in south Seattle one month, east side one month, north one, etc. We are on facebook Seattle Cruiserheads - https://www.facebook.com/groups/284332779675 and also google groups seattlecruiserheads - Google Groups - https://groups.google.com/g/seattlecruiserheads/

There was a big cruiser group called rain country cruisers? but they're not very active any more, they're in Mount Vernon and Bellingham area I believe WA- Rain Country Cruisers - https://forum.ih8mud.com/forums/wa-rain-country-cruisers.161/

There's this facebook group also - North Sound Cruisers - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1836516386493181 North Sound Cruisers

I'm the guy with an instagram account and no pictures. :flipoff2: I rarely visit. Last time I did was to do research on my Cruiser's work history through he shop that did the work and the PO's instagram. There are also a few 70 series Prados lurking around town too.

So to bring it back @DiegoCrzr thanks for starting this thread. Momentum takes time to build but it would be cool to gather.

It's hard to gauge how to connect with new cruiser folks. Lots just aren't using the forum regularly, and are utilizing other social media channels. This forum is certainly feels like a good fit for me, as I am trying to do the work myself and lack deep experience or expertise, but I have lots of questions about how to move forward with maintenance, and repairs, and lets be honest, visually iH8mud has waaaaay less noise than other social media channels--especially when you become silver star or gold star and get an add free experience.

Thanks for taking time to post up thoughts, we all know your shop is BUSY!

I've been in touch with North Sound Cruisers and we are rolling this momentum into their already established group, thanks NorthWA! We're on for Saturday February 19th 4pm at Double Barrel BBQ in Sedro-Woolley!
Sounds great!! Nice work.

I don’t have a Facebook account anymore but I can get a glimpse of the North Sound Cruisers group and it looks like they are meeting up tomorrow as well at noon at Farmstrong Brewery in Mount Vernon if anyone is interested.

I never did FB so whoever has it, keep feeding us ‘pleebs’ w/o it.

I gotta look but I almost thing today beats the 19th for me, - is Farmstrong the one down by the 1-5 overpass / across from the river?

Yup.

I have a fb. With zero friends. I just follow a few car specific groups.

What would be really excellent is if folks could post up tools they are willing to share and loan. Like for example I have a 3/4" drive HF torque wrench and a pull holding tool for the 1FZ-FE to torque up the bolt holding the harmonic balancer. Id be stoke to save somebody else ~$150-200 in tools that are seldom used. I also am making a coolant flushing adaptor to mate up with hoses on the heater core and block. Seems like a tool that could be used often. You might have a shop press in your workspace and would be willing to help with radius arm bushing etc. You see where I'm going with this. Anyhow there's a thought for how this might gain some more interest and traction. Oh and how about a ride along...or "Dude are my brakes really supposed to be this soft or is this how its gonna be with heavy ass bumpers, etc...

Other side of the state here but I also am willing to let people use tools I have acquired or even time in the heated and air-conditioned shop. I have things like a 600 lb-ft torque wrench, large/special sockets for removing retainer nuts on front and rear wheel bearings, bushing press kits and shop press for doing bushing replacement work. I also do a lot of my own custom fab work and have the various tools to support that hobby. I see the majority of people on this thread are probably too far away to take advantage but I am always happy to help out fellow cruiser guys with their maintenance and build projects. We are in Washington Wine Country over here so maybe someone would want to make a weekend out of a maintenance project trip 🍷🥃:)

And here I was thinking a heated shop was luxurious . I wish I was closer, I’d love to take on bushing replacement work and see your Fabrication hobby implements. Thanks for posting, you might get some new friends!

If I may add to your list. There is now an official North Sound Cruiser group in the MUD clubhouse section (this was the old Rain Country Cruisers group). Please check it out for meetup dates and trips around the area.

Still interested, can't make it, will keep informed for next 1

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself and see if there was still any traction with this group? I've been in Bellingham for almost two years now (CO transplant) and just pulled the trigger on a 1995 80 series from a mud member in SoCal. I have every other weekend off and am looking for fellow cruiser-minded folks to wrench and wheel with!

I'm sure this get states a lot, but if anyone out there has covered garage workspace and enjoys wrenching, I'm currently assembling my list of to-do's and parts orders to start the fun. I'm without any covered workspace however, but always up for meet ups and outings.

Cheers, and happy holidays,
Nick
