It works OK, if I was to pick nits I'd say you could move it 6" forward and it might be more accesable from the seated position- but too far forward and you loose some of the function because of the narrow door opening.
I'm not un-happy with it though- besides, it won't see much action anyway. The diamond plate was cheap, about $5 for a 4x16" piece, I had to trim half an inch off so that there would be no overhang to peel an edge up. It's actually very grippy stuff- Might put some on the 'outrigger' for the drivers side as well.
Oh- and if I were to REALLY pick nits, I'd want you to extend the dimension center to center from the rear bolt hole to the front bolt hole by .5" or so. Right now, with the front leg butted up against the cross member the rear U bolt covers the rear most set of bolt holes for the fuel line brackets- I have the rear U-bolt at not quite perpendicular to the cross member because I was not able to remove those bolts- again, not a big deal. It's definately on there very solidly.
You must really have a sadistic side though- man, was that upper U-bolt on the front leg hard to reach! What ended up working best was an 11/16 deep well socket on a long extension.
Advice for those installing these- go buy a racheting box end wrench in 11/16. It's much easier for tightening those upper U-bolt nuts than constantly moving an open end wrench around.
