Still trying to figure out how to link youtube video. I'll post when I get it

Why thank you

Followed up with a 30-60, didn't manually shift either. I wanted to do a little more respectable run, but ran out of daylight after the meeting I was going to

Totally didn't plan on starting the head gasket job, but got curious about the condition of my supercharger and took it off. One thing led to another and by tonight the head is in my truck ready for a ride to the machine shop tomorrow.

Supercharger looks like crap on the outside but internally it's great. Coupler and bearings tight, rotors look nice too. The stuff on the rotors in the pic is just oil, wipes off and looks smooth

To back up a little, this is my before shot of the nasty engine bay. Big plans to clean and freshen it up

Supercharger and intercooler off, gross underneath

The intake is crazy carbon coated but the cam area was near perfect. Was getting hopefull for the condition of the cylinders at this point

So it seems like Mr T likes to test ones resolve to get the damn head off. I win, and am rewarded with really nice looking cylinders.

Still have a nice cross hatch

So now I've got a big pile of nasty parts to clean/paint/powder coat, and the engine compartment to clean

Not sure if this is real time or not but get a zip tie on that timing chain stat. Also a good time to wrap the harness at the EGR.

Will do on the chain, thanks. Yeah, the harness looks rough around there, not so much the individual wires but the outer part is toast

Check out the last pic and you can see where the PO had the ems exhaust repaired with smaller diameter sleeves. I could see the welds on the outside but had no idea that the exhaust was that restricted there.
