I had to come back last night for some work/family time and missed dinner and the raffle but...
Great time. Marshal rode shotgun and he got some pics/video. We rode with the Trail Team and they did their normal excellent job of leading/spotting etc...
The hundy did great. No damage, no straps. Beasley is STEEP. Lucky that it was very dry. The place would be virtually impossible when wet... for me anyway.
Had a 10 minute stretch where we lost a birf, two windows and a radiator!!! Really strange.
Met some great new people who we'll most likely see again.

The First Annual Beasley Bash was a great event. Thanks to Heather, the GA Cruisers, the FJ Trail Team and all the elves who helped pull this off! We had a great time and learned a lot too (always go down the path of least resistance
).
Beasley Bash lived up to its namesake and some carnage was expected, but I thought it would have been Group #1 (the built FJ40's) and not the following Moderate Trail groups
Everyone was in great spirits, despite the damage to their rigs - a great sign of good people in our club. Thanks to the generosity of the Trail Team for lending a hand and guiding one of our group rides. They also went out of their way to assist the fallen on the trail (some not even Toyotas!).
We couldn't have asked for better weather, so the camping was great.
Sunday AM we decided to run the same route that my group did again, this time Kitty drove while I took pics. She did everything except the descent off the top of 93C which is a pretty hairy spot. See vids below. I took the same line I did on Saturday and Gustav went straight down the 4 foot ledge. He made it look so easy. My line was a bit more bouncy and tippy, but since I did it the day before I knew what to expect. Next time I'll just go down the ledge and avoid the off camber bounce.

Just where was the moderate suff??? oh, the trail ride into camp because I can't read the excellent instructions (I read them after I got to camp). Had a BLAST, Rick, thanks for the lead and spotting , and kat for the documentation. Steens statement of "steep" seems like an understatement. Thanks for Heather and Dan and whoever else I'm forgetting for putting it on.
Oh Steen you did win something from the raffle. Dan has your ammo box full of goodies.
