I'm strongly considering painting the pieces for the warn hubs. What was the original color scheme from warn?

Color scheme should be similar to this image:

I have the same hubs on my 65. Mine are a gunmetal gray color body with a chrome ring around a gold selector. If that helps at all

That helps. I now have 3 options that seem "original" to warn. I guess the consistent part is the gold selector. Initially, I thought this was brass, but the corrosion on one of my selectors makes me think they are anodized or otherwise plated aluminum.

Your drain plugs should be 24mm.

Looks like you're coming along pretty well! Sad to hear your family is mad about you bringing life back into the family beast, and that they'd rather see it sit and decay.

Can't wait to see the finished product! Keep it up!

I immediately looked to see if Napa or O'Reilly's had knuckle bearings because I figured SOR was more expensive. SOR's price for the whole kit with bearings and seals is only $10 more than O'Reilly's price on 4 bearings alone. My club SOR membership has already paid for itself.

Thanks, antFJ!

Edit: According to SOR, the additional "needed" part for the ball/claw axles is a bushing on the axle shaft itself. Mine look to be in great shape.

Edit #2: CCOT has a similar kit for the same price. Since I live in TX (actually only 30 minutes away from CCOT) they offer a shipping discount (free in this case) to offset sales tax. I ordered it this morning and will clean up all the components for the front axle today so they can be assembled when the new parts arrive. Pics to follow when daylight (and work) begins.

Be careful with ccot as much of his stuff is very low quality.

Very nice car. And it wasn't nearly as bad as other Colorado cars have been. Mine used to be in Colorado and I had to basically redo more than half of the body.

All plugs were 23mm. I had to buy a 6 point at northern tool and shave the bevel a bit for the shallow bolt heads.

Thank you all for the kind words. Pics and progress to come this weekend.

Looking good, I love the progress!!! I kinda just looked at the pictures so I dunno what your engine/ trans plan is but if you need any lil ins & outs for that engine, I have the exact one sitting complete in my garage for sale, with a dead cylinder.... just figured if you're keeping that engine you may need a piece here or there when it comes time... keep up the good work those axles are looking good!!! After correcting the wrongly assembled knuckle steering arms, I put on the brake backing plates and outer hub seals. I couldn't find stainless wire at the local hardware store, so I used galvanized steel for the safety wire. The old TRE's are back in as place holders. I'll order replacements before this hits the road.
