Looks outstanding. You did a great job on that install. I love the look of the barn doors, but I don't think I could give up the utility of having a tailgate to stand on when I need to access anything on the roof (I long ago replaced the carpeted panel with a piece of 1/4" aluminum diamond plate, making it much better for a standing surface). The barn doors are definitely a unique look though.
After paint, they do look quite fantastic. Just wondering exactly why you did it. Do you not like the clamshell setup? Have any particular need for barn doors? To get a different look? Or is it "hell, just because I could!" Regardless, you did a bang-up job and it looks absolutely great.

First I love the look, and a little just to see if I could. the other reason is function, with the truck lifted and me being only 5'9'' I have to jump up on the tail gate to put anything all the way against the back seat, it is also easier for my labs to get in the back.
And thanks for the nice comments, I love the support everyone offers on this forum
Never thought about the height issue; I always wondered what the attraction was to the barn doors. I had them on my Suburban and much much prefer the tailgate.
I just finished the door panels for the rear doors, since the ones that came with it were shot. I went ahead a made new ones for the cargo area too. They are 1/8 inch aluminum that I cut and had powder coated in a texture brown finish.
i love the way it looks and final out come, a big applause for trying something unique. i do have the same problem of getting on to it as tailgate is bit higher but i cant do one like you due to unavailablity of meterial and skill. great job bro...
