we'll be covering the Bandeirante in tomorrow's post, we would love to use some of the pics here. Let me know if that's a problem and we can pull them down. Website is www.seconddaily.com

Since this thread was bumped, here's a few pics of when I saw a bandeirante in Rio a few years ago:

nice! We just covered the Fj60/62 so it's a little closer to that than we'd like but we plan to feature Overland Imports in the piece. We'll also give props to ih8mud again and this thread

I was wondering if anyone could help me find original pictures of a the interior dash and cabin as well as the exterior of a 1979 Bandeirante OJ55LP-B3. Been trying to find original imagery to no avail....

thanks!

We just had this one inspected for a customer. It's from a '77 OJ55LV, but I believe the dash is set up about the same as the LP-B3. If you are looking for pics from the manual, I have yet to find one from that year. If you absolutely need a '79, i can ask our partners down there if they can find one in original configuration and get a couple pics for you.

So I sent a text to our partners in Brazil and within a minute they sent these back. Hope it helps...

@TFJ4x4 This helps for sure! Any chance we might be able to bother your Brasilian friends for some engine pics as well as truck bed? If they could do a complete walk around as well as underneath pics, that would be icing on the cake!

The 77 you inspected is already in the US?

Cheers,
J

I'll ask them. The one we inspected is still in Brazil. We help source and import Bandi's from Brazil and Land Cruisers from Costa Rica. We've spent a significant amount of time building relationships in both countries. In Brazil, they help us source, then have a mechanic do an onsite inspection along with pics and videos (we don't hide anything), it then gets inspected in shop to determine if we need/want to upgrade or replace anything. They are a legitimate restoration shop as well, so that is also an option. We also replace the square plastic grills with the FJ40 style if people request it. If I can get some more pics for you, I'll post them.

@TFJ4x4 awesome Lukas! Thanks for the info. Will PM you in the near future regarding the Brazil/Costa Rican cars. Looking forward to the pics. They will prove invaluable!

One more of the engine bay. Mercedes OM314 Diesel, and one more of the under carriage. Obviously, this is the pick up model with the native bed. If you are sourcing one from Brazil, these can be converted to the metal pick-up bed.
