WTF is that grub looking thing the size of your foot?

What TonyP said.

‘Twas just one of many bizarre critters Zac (Mogwai) & I fetched out of the night-time sea. :hillbilly:

I believe TonyP dubbed its final name. We also tested “Sphincter Serpent” and “A-hole O-the-Sea” due to its pooper-like gaping hole... but when we saw it shoot a stream of water for the entire 200 yard walk back to the camp...the one Tony mentioned stuck.

We also could have brought Back an aggressive, color-changing octopus that squirted and grabbed our hands...or the hand size crab I caught until he reached back and **drew blood** from my bleeping thumb... That crab was no joke!

Anyway... Last night on the beach was a hoot.

For some reason, this little feller seemed to want to scurry and hide in the shadow of my legs this morning when I found him under a my tarp on the ground... -Little Kangaroo Mouse of some sort, as he hopped, rather than "ran."

My little buddy--

Gotta love Baja!

Thanks for sharing your adventure photos. Keep them coming.

Awesome!

Side note, gotta talk about the mpgs haha... I was getting a solid 40 - 50% better gas mileage vs the other more heavily weighted trucks in the group. Ranged from 8.5mpg to over 15mpg for me (whole day totals). Just thought it was such a wild swing, spent 50% less on gas than budgeted.

Also, more reflections to come but Baja can be as slow, or fast as you want it to. The place is amazing, it is whatever you decide to make it that day.

Lots of sick drone footage to process and post. Stay tuned.

I'll go through my drone footage tonight when I get home. But I just stopped by a cat scale on my way back. Full loaded with about 90lbs of extra, not camping, stuff. I don't know why some of you guys are so heavy.

You’re not too far off. When I did CAT in January on a driving trip with the wife & me in the truck, it was 8160. Take our fat selves out of it and we’d be Very close to your trucks weight.

For Baja, I added almost 27 gallons of water, tons of drinks, and a fridge full of food…plus a microwave & stove, fuel etc.. So those items pumped me up quite a bit.

The one and only Coco...from Coco Corner. Cole put well: Coco is an “endearingly likable” double amputee, who run probably the most quirky, unique soda and chips stop I’ve ever seen. He has something like 125,000 visitor’s names and place of birth in his many sign-in books.

He joked and teased all of us...surrounded by his little building that’s plastered with off-road club sticks, photos, and literally hundreds of women’s panties signed and hung from the ceiling.
