I think if it was cleaned up it wouldn't be so bad... Maybe then again I'm cheap

Sad to say yall I almost bought a jeep.... To replace my cruiser... (Look of shame....)

I think that is way too high. That is the price range I was thinking of selling mine when the time comes. Or, maybe I am too low ..haha :hmm:

You know you've a buyer waiting........ :)

Just got back from a week in Estes Park / RMNP and had a blast. Beautiful area. My father in law and I hiked back to a few lakes a caught some fishies. I've been fishing my entire life, but just purchased my very first fly fishing rod /reel for this trip. I caught bigger and brighter, but this was the first fish I caught with my new fly setup....

Yea, it seems really high for the condition (and WTH did they do to the hitch?). But they're getting pretty damn rare from what I can see.

/thinking that beat old tub I've got sitting out back is worth at least $600 ;)

Yeah, they seem to be really price gouging anywhere someone might want to make an "Expedition Trailer" out of it (CO, AZ, NM, UT, etc.).

A quick search of "Search All Craigslist" and you find that in most "non-expo" states, they go for about 700-800. Saw a really nice one with a cool top a few months ago for 850, but it was 1000 miles away. :(

My brother-in-law used to build farm trailers by the warehouse full down in TX years ago. Might try to talk him into dusting off his welder and making one to spec. Just don't know enough about wheelin' trailers to know what I would want. Guess I could go to an off-road trailer website and steal a bunch of ideas. :D

If I were to do it again, I'd probably start from scratch. All I'm using from mine is the frame (which really isn't all that), hitch (modified by PO), suspension and axle (which I don't like).

This is what my dad just started a lot like that one in the springs I think same tongue and all. He just started but those trailers really fit well with the cruisers!

Side note: anyone have any experience replacing a timing belt/ water pump? Dealer wants $1150 to do ours but the aisin kit is only $160... I know it's a big thing to take on but I think I might just give it a go.

On what vehicle? I just did it on a Toyota 4.7L. Not bad, but takes a while. If you're talking about a 4.7, I have a crank pulley tool you can borrow.

2005 4Runner with the 4.7and really that would be awesome. I'm still not 100% if I wanna take this on, just alittle concerned I'll screw something up

There are quite a few tutorials and videos on the internet. Most show the Tundra, but it's basically the same. It took me about 1 1/2 days to do it on my GX (same as your 4runner). I tend to be slow and methodical. I also replaced a bunch of pulleys and hoses when I was in there, as well as a full coolant flush, oil change, and all the differentials. I laid out all the parts and bolts as I took them off and labelled them in order. This made re-assembly much easier. The crank pulley tool made that part of the job ridiculously easy. I bought the Aisin kit off Amazon. Three thousand miles later, it's still perfect.

If your slow and methodical, take a lot of pictures along the way and take a few notes if required, it is nothing but time. The whole thing is really just a simple machine, the more you dwelve into it the simpler everything gets. Do some research ahead of time to see if there are any "gotcha" moments, then press on. Much easier to do if it isn't the sole set of wheels. Took a couple weeks to replace the oil cooler, HPOP, etc on the wifes 6.0, but saved a bunch of money and had the satisfaction that everything was cleaned, torqued, and resealed with care.

Yeah time is what I'll have plenty of my wife is taking the kids for a vacation with her family in North Carolina for a few weeks so In between fishing trips I think I'll have maybe 7 plus days. I've watched a few videos as well as read through forms on t4r.org and that was super nice to have so That plus time maybe there is some hope for me Firestone just told us 750 plus I got 100$ off so we're debating if that's worth the warranty for a year
