Got the MRI results yesterday. Partial rotator cuff tear, borderline for surgery. He said he wants to try letting it heal on its own. See again in two weeks after no activity, no biking, no running, no PT, no working out, no nothing. He told me what would happened if I did have surgery and that pretty much convinced me to agree on getting a sling. Guess I'm out of commission for a while...
Had shoulder surgery for a torn labrum. Rehab was not fun!

Yep, had a detached ligament repaired a few years ago. It worked - shoulder has stayed put ever since. Used to dislocate on me if i reached or pulled wrong. But recovery & rehab was very painful. Probably 4-6 months till I could really use it well, and 9-12 till I was really pain free and had most of the range of motion back.

So if you have to do it, you have to do it and you'll likely be good as new ... eventually. But if the doc thinks you can avoid it by slacking off for a few weeks, I'd take him up on it!

We were on Imogene yesterday, and commented that I thought there was a lot of traffic on Black Bear. Everybody getting out to do it one last time?

Cool read, honestly would not expect anything different from any off road enthusiast group. Had a "different" perspective than the other version I read. Like this one a bit better and seems more realistic.

We managed to get tickets a few weeks ago for the Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course next weekend. Probably a once in a lifetime experience to see an actual Triple Crown winner running live. Pretty excited!

The best part for us was coming to the waterfall and looking down into Telluride.

:)

Went and ran black bear this weekend. Honestly, there's a lot of hype surrounding this trail. Wasn't bad at all. Never even got an "Oh Cr@p" moment. Very short. Plenty of room on the switchbacks. Truthfully, I liked Imogene and Cinammon better. :)

I gotta say - you saying it was easy isn't much of a vote of confidence for me. I think our "Oh Cr@p" meters are calibrated a bit differently

It is truly not bad, the spot that is off camber towards a small clff was the only hmmmm moment

Lol @ Eric.

Yeah, that spot right there was the best. Made you stop and think. The trail just sort of disappears. Great view from there. After that, it was just tight trail and switchbacks.... With really big drop offs :D

Looks like more than a hmmmmm moment to me, I really hate off camber stuff!!

Ooooooo, yuk!!! WTH are you doing? BBQ-ing inside the truck or on the dash or something? That's ridiculous. Sorry you have to suffer so under such unbearable conditions. Too late to come back?
