Oh s***, I have been looking for a set of these on eBay for the longest time. I'm in for a set.

Well, I started the QC on the covers and somehow they are 1.625" too short. I triple checked everything and I'M CORRECT on my measurements. Somehow they altered the length when I bumped the material from 20 to 18 gauge.

Laser company is RUSHING the re-order on these... Sorry guys, but it will be another week from what they are telling me.

Discount on the incorrect units? :)

I can see if I can add a few sets. If so, I'll let you know.

Those look sweet!
good job jason

THANKS J!

Matt, they are only remaking the main part, leaving the two lower sweeps and inset missing on the incorrect part. If they don't want them back, I could make some sweeps and weld those in, but the inset would be missing. PERSONALLY, the insets could be deleted IMO, the belt and floor bolt hide almost all the inset area. Basically, just a block off to the inner pillar.

I'll let you know.

Right on, looking forwards to your reports of how sturdy these are only being held in by friction, I was thinking that one might be able to mount stuff on them.

oops! No worries for me...if you have others with rush orders you can make those up first and move mine to a bit later.

No rush for me, either.

And FWIW, those 'short-units' could still be used if someone just wanted to pop-rivet in a section of thick-rubber on the top (floor mat, shower liner, whatever) .... Just sayin', rather than scraping them. Might even be softer on the seat belt.

I'd be in line for a set of the not so tall ones if you make them available. PM me details, thanks!!

I was able to add 5 more sets today, I'll PM you with details.

Waiting on a response if they want these back. If not, I think it will be about 2 hours of labor and materials 150.00 a set for the shorties plus actual shipping cost.

You can always drill the cover and B-pillar install a standoff spacer and rivnut anything you want to these, IMO... (spacing allowed of course)

T, I appreciate this. You were in the middle of the pile...

I'll go in on a set if possible for this run, or the next one.

I aded 5 "PROPER" sets. I'll PM you with details.

Waiting on a reply from the cutter now. As stated above the shorties would be "I think it will be about 2 hours of labor and materials 150.00 a set for the shorties plus actual shipping cost." I'll be in touch as soon as I hear back.

Plastic B-pillar seat belt cover.

I've had 6- 60 series and ALL have had broken or trashed covers.

J

Plus its cool as hell. Might also double as a light weight weapon. :poof:

Funny, I have owned 2 60s for a total of 17 years and have been in/around a bunch of others and have never heard of this being a problem. Maybe it is a hot/dry climate issue?

Who knows, you may just be lucky. I've had one PS cover 100% complete in over 12 years and the rest either cracked, broken, or the top completely missing. DS is usually the worst as it sees more use.

I just think it is how they were taken care of (abused) all their life.
