Looking for a 4/85-7/87 FJ60 tunnel cover / inspection plate & boot for my H55 swap

Kinda like this:

View attachment 3311365

The one you want looks like the red one on the left. The one on the right is the 10/82-4/85 style. Seen this with boots for sale used in the Middle East. One the transfer case shifter was for the skinny shifter. The other for the later fat shifter.
If your have a 4/85-8/87 you already have the correct parts. For a FJ62 this is what you need plus a 3F bellhousing.

SOLD I am going to be in the process of installing a GPS speedometer in my 40 so I am going to be selling the gage and cable that are for a 74 even though mine is a 69. The cable is brand new and the gage still works

The bezel isn't for sale just posted to ask for ideas as to put a round peg into odd shaped hole🤔

Cool - I hadn't actually previously seen those two side by side to know what the difference was, so thank you. Still on the hunt for the later plate and boots. I have everything else ready to go!

The ring for the transmission boot has five sides. Earlier is only four and won't work. For some reason the later boot and the transfer case boot for the skinny lever are hard to find. If your converting a FJ62 the high/neutral/low boot will work the later fat lever used after 8/87 on the manual floor shift.

Not sure I'm following you here - are you saying my existing 89 xfer case boot will work? I haven't pulled anything apart yet. thanks for the info!

The boot opening for the transfer case is same 4/85-1/90. The shifter is being made aftermarket for the earlier skinny lever. 8/87 the manual shifter was fat like the vacuum 4WD with manual high low shifter. Have source one but thinking about finding a fat shifter. Have the OEM skinny lever already. Another picture I found of the two covers.

Two of the red inspection covers are from FJ62s and verified the transfer openings are the same as the late FJ60.

I've played around putting these in an FJ40. Transfer shifter is from a turn of the century 70 series.

Anyone have a set of OME 860 springs they want to get rid of? I have some 863's if anyone wants to trade, or cash if someone has a set for sale. Thanks

I put a full length rack on my 2013 Trail and just haven’t used it like I thought I would. Most of what I’ve changed about the vehicle have been useful and more or less practical. A few times though… I’ve found something I thought would be necessary hasn’t been and I’m trying to keep it all necessary and functional without detracting from its daily use. All mods are a balance. This rack has ended up throwing that balance off for me although it’s an amazing rack.

Another long shot here, the 10-13 Trail specific rack has been discontinued by Toyota and I can’t find it anywhere in the world. MegaZip, partsouq and others.

I'm looking to find the OEM roof rails and cross bars from the 10-13 Trail 4Runner. I also need all of the hardware.

I've got a full length Eezi-Awn roof rack and awning currently and am looking to go back to stock.

I'd also be willing to swap my rack for the OEM one, with some cash included maybe? I'm open to discussion and options.

If you know of have or see this rack pictures please reach out!

Thanks!

UPDATE: Found one. I found a wrecking yard in NV that has a 13 Trail 4runner with rack and all ready to go. No damage too.

Ha! I wouldn’t be surprised if that thing was buried miles from the road - I’m pretty sure I lost it when I hit a deep running wash in the midst of a flash flood, that also almost swallowed @bwesty ’s power wagon on 35s 😆

But yeah… someone someday may wonder where it came from. 🤷🏻‍♂️
update: did not find.
found plenty of awesome adventure, though. Hi-Lift jack came out three times. Once to adjust my rear bumper, once to change buddy's flat tire, and once (several applications) to get a Jeep Compass out of a pretty spectacular high-center fix.

Gray color passenger side sun visor removed from 1993 FZJ80.
