The 100 Series Land Cruiser with IFS have experienced issues with cracking of the lower control arm around the area that the Torsion Bar torque arms bolt to due to the high torque and impact loadings passing through the torsion bars and the lower control arm.
The Ironman 4x4 reinforcing bracket is a folded plate that when bolted on, strengthens the lower control arm in the area where cracking is experienced.
Ironman 4x4 recommends fitting a Torsion Bar Strengthening Brace on all 100 series IFS regardless to whether they have any aftermarket components.

Looking for a rust free frame for an fj40. A while back someone had one listed in Tucson and there were also two at a shop in the phx area but I lost the contact info for both. Any leads would be appreciated.

I took one of my 40s apart last week and found some sketchy rust inside one of the frame rails.

John, I’m not partial to a particular year. I have a full aqualu tub for it and a factory soft top. It will also have 60 series steering and a 3b h55 that was slated for for this BJ fram.

Got a surprisingly fast answer from Trail Tailor, the 80 and 100 series uses different bolts, so the arms are not compatible.
