Are you tall? Do you have knee pain or sciatica from the drivers seat angle?

I've got the seat jackers in my 1st Gen Tacoma. The dude that makes them seems like a super cool dude. I bet if enough folks hit him up, he'd prob make some 100 series specific ones. He's outta Vegas, I'm sure there's somebody on here that's in Vegas... but if not, I live in his hometown in Southern Utah and he says he's up this way pretty regular. I don't really need the seat jackers in my 100, but I'm willing to help if needs be.

Thanks for the offer to help. We need to get EasyDoesIt to join Mud.

Would love to see these for the 100 and 200... 6’6 here

Let's see how it goes with the ones that I ordered. I sent an email to invite EasyDoesIt to join IH8MUD.com

I received the Seat Jackers for 2003-2021 4Runners, GX and FJ. Nicely packaged product that comes with INSTRUCTIONS. I'll install them later this afternoon and post some pics.

Looking forward to it!

Pictures. The benefit picture first. Using the brake or accelerator doesn't put my knee near the dash or center console.

Bottom Line: I like the feel and comfort of the additional knee room. I can still adjust the seat front up and down. I have approximately 5" of headroom.

I can now drive it on a long 8+ hour trip and be in a comfortable seating position.

Front picture. I know I need new carpet. I'm using a different bolt and washer setup because I'm not ready to completely lock down the seat on the bracket. I know that I will be removing the seat 4 times over the next few months. To replace the seat covers with some temporaries. To replace the carpet. To replace the dash. Then to replace the seats covers with a permanent solution.

I didn't modify the inner mount to remove the mounting peg. I drilled a hole on the seat mount rail so the both sides could be mounted without modification.

After making the peg hole the right side mount drops into place.

The left side already had a hole for the mounting peg.

The left side drops into place. The original 14mm bolts are used to secure the mount to the floor in the existing bolt hole.

The instructions recommend loosening the rear seat mounting bolts to wiggle the seat into position on the mounts. In the end I removed the rear seat bolts, then left the front mounting bolts partially loose then got someone to sit in the seat so it would spread out the rails so I could start the rear mounting bolts. On the next time I remove the seat to do work I think I will file an oblong opening on the rear bracket hole so aligning the seat over the front and rear mounting holes will be easier.

Thanks for the thread. I just had ACL surgery a week ago and will order a set to help comfort while I am driving until fully recovered.

So, to confirm, for the 03-21 4Runner, GX, and FJ seat jackers, you just need to trim the passenger side tab to fit? No other fitment issues @OwnerCS?

I took a different approach for mounting mine. Instead of trimming off the mounting peg, I chose to keep the passenger side (right) mount peg by drilling a hole so it would be like the driver's side (left) mount.

It was easier for me to drill an extra hole than it would have been to cut off the tab. The additional hole is circled with highlighter.

With the additional hole, the mount (with peg) dropped into place like it did on the left side.

I think either approach accomplishes the end goal. Its basically up to the owner's preference.

Thank you for the detail and pictures. I'll place my order now.

I wish I could help you install it. The seats are heavy and then being bent over.

Appreciate the offer. I am probably going to recruit my wife to help as the install from a technical standpoint is fairly straightforward. We'll see how that goes!

I also emailed the vendor, linking them to this thread, to ask if they have any plans to make a specific option for our trucks. TBD on their response.

Just ordered mine!

One thing that I did to help during installation was to use a short hammer to prop the seat up after I tilted it back to install the front mounts. A small block of wood or some tool will work. This is to compensate for needing three hands. A helper to tilt the seat up and back also works.

Checking my weight against the Height-Weight Chart -- which my doctor says is extremely accurate -- I am 7 feet 2 inches. Doc says the chart is not to be questioned 🤔

More seriously, this simple little wedge posted by @OwnerCS looks good for more seat flexibility!

Damn I thought I had it bad. Where do you put your knees?

This is funny. My 28 yo son who is 6" with a 32" inseam drove it yesterday. Oh he likes it. So I get in it afterward the the seat is in the top adjustment position. So I asked "What are you doing with that adjustment?" I like the seat to sit up high. It feels like I'm driving a BIG truck.

I'm glad he likes.

I can't take credit for it. There are two members at the beginning of this thread that installed it before me.

Hey guys, Steve here from Desert Does It (my username is EasyDoesIt on Tacomaworld). I received no less than 5 emails or messages from folks inviting my to IH8Mud, so thank you all for the warm welcome.

We are a fairly new small business out of St. George Utah/Las Vegas Nevada that specializes in seat spacers and seat mount molle panels. We started in late 2019 making Seat Jackers for Tacoma's and have recently ventured into almost every other vehicle make. Our goal is to make useful niche products to improve the comfort and utility of your vehicle. All of our products are unique to Desert Does It, designed in house, machined, and powder coated in the US from US sourced material.

We have a several Toyota products but we've yet to be able to get our hands on any Land Cruisers. My business partner Joe has a full machine shop with multiple CNCs lathes and mills, we also have access to plasma/laser/water jet cutters.

With all that being said if anyone lives in the Southern Utah area and has Land Cruiser 100, 200 or Lexus equivalent, we'd love to use your vehicle to prototype.

I see what some of you have done to make our Tacoma/4Runner Seat Jackers work on your Land Cruisers and it looks very promising.

We can provide our Front Seat Jackers without the centering pin or possible move the centering pin over so it falls into the stock hole. In theory this seems pretty straight forward but we do like to confirm fitment on a vehicle we have in hand. This helps keep the number of prototypes low and insures the best possible fit.

Again, thank you all for the welcome and we look forward to producing solutions for the 100 and 200 Series Land Cruisers.

Steve
