Just got a 30% off email for Mem day. Closest Maaco is 2.5 hours from me. Are their paint jobs total crap ? Haven’t gotten a quote yet - but just asking the consensus. My truck is a beater hunting machine but the paint is really bad.

That looks 1000 times better just from those 2 picturesTotally fine for a beater IMO. My dad just got his beater done by them a month ago. Looks pretty dang good for 1,800. We’ll see how long it lasts.

This is pretty much what I heardI've always heard that they can spray paint well, but that's it... you have to do all the prep and taping and sanding for them.
Sold!I cannot recommend a Maaco paintjob enough. I think it is all about what Maaco shop you pick. I went to three different Maacos in the Colorado Springs/Denver area until I found a Maaco that was recommended in the FJ60 group. They totally understood what I was looking for and did a great job. It transformed my truck. Just take as many things off the truck as you can so they can focus on the paint and not the prep.

That’s not happening with me 2.5 hours away- they have 3 paint levels. So will see what they say but me doing prep is not happening with the distance issue. These look good though for what I need. This is pretty much what I heard

He didn’t do anything. Just dropped it off. There are a couple of goofy mistakes that a non “car guy” wouldn’t even notice. They pulled the emblems and put back with 3M tape. Was it dropped off complete or did you prep it any by pulling out lights or things?
