Anyone running ARB skid plates on their 200? I am thinking about putting them on when I install my Slee sliders. Any feedback ? They look easy to install (bolt on). Anyone have a copy of the install instructions? Thanks much

Yup, I'm running them. See link above. I'd love to chat more about them if your looking to order, give us a call at the shop.

I have them as well. You can install them yourself - they are stout and accordingly heavy....

Do a quick search and you'll find a few threads on them.

1) Very good quality
2) Heavy
3) Need to remove front plate to get to oil filter. (an extra step with 8 fasteners)

Great, did Slee suggest any mods on these plates install or are they bolt on?

I asked him about the Slee web site's product description mentioning "minor modifications" ...but Christo said that that referred to the older part from ARB. I just had Slee install it while there before driving all the way home to San Diego...so I did not install it myself. I'm fairly sure no additional mods were necessary.

My only feedback on the ARB skid plates is they are surprisingly stout. Mine have so far held up well, and these trucks are heavy as everyone knows.

I will say that at my first oil change at the Toyota dealership, the oil change department was a bit "perplexed" shall we say. Theoretically you only have to remove the front section for the oil change, but the dealership was not willing to trust the side run-off setup on the ARB skid plates (they were concerned it would make a mess). So for me, they removed all the skid plates and re-installed.

Since you have to remove the factory skid plate to change the oil filter, how much more work is it?

I have the ARB Skids and Slee Sliders. The plate wasnt that heavy to remove and replace myself. I use a cordless driver with a socket and held it with a hand while getting the last bolt out. I was able to hold it myself while getting the bolts started putting it back in. It takes longer to remove the skid then to replace the filter. Thinking it was 10-15 min to take it off and then another 10-15 to put it back. This was my first time, thinking it will be more like 5 minutes each next time.

any update on whether or not these fit with a diff drop? i have mine on the way so if no one has these with a diff drop guess i'll be the guinea pig

Slee recommended against a Diff Drop and talked me out of it.

Yes it will fit. I have Marks4wd differential drop bracket as well as ARB skid plates. You going to need 3 spacers. 2 On the front skid plates mounts, 1 on the center mount on rear side of the skid plates. I used my rear shocks rubber bushings as a spacers.

Same here. I diff dropped my 100 with Slee parts, but Christo talked me out of the drop on the 200. For one, the CV angles are FAR better compared with the 100. The other reason given had something to do with the angle the diff sits at after dropping. I don't remember specifics, but it was considered weird or uncorrected.

From the post about skid spaces, it looks like you have to give up some clearance under the skids...which seems like giving up too much to me.
