I'm IN!

I'm in! :) Looking forward to another good trail run!

I've been wanting to get involved with CSC for some time but two things have been holding me up - proximity to Tucson and so-called stocker-friendly runs. Now it looks like I am out of excuses. Can somebody elaborate on the difficulty I might find in my stock 80 with 285s? I did backroad to CK several years back (on stock tires) and that trip had me really wishing I had more clearance. How does Martinez Cabin compare?

I've done it in a stock Wrangler and a "lowered" 60. I don't remember there being anything too terribly challenging or dangerous to sheetmetal up to the cabin itself.
But my memory's a bit faded these days.

I rolled my first 80 on that trail.:whoops::crybaby:

I'll bring some hotdogs!

Cool, but we will already be providing the meat(s). The first post in this thread asks for people to bring some side dishes.

Can a stock 200 make it with no body damage?
It has been so long since I have trailed with anything near stock that I am a poor judge of that. I can tell you that we had a stock Silverado 4x4 pickup come thru at the cabins. It was a longbed and Xcab on rather stockish tires. He scrapped a rocker panel, possibly due to the fact that he was driving in the dark, and his son (spotter) had no experience spotting. We also had a pretty stock looking FJC and 4Runner come thru in the daytime. I would guess that it could be done, but it would take a lot of spotting and some rock stacking on a few places. BLM did bring 3 3/4 ton 4x4 pickups in to the area below the riparian area where the new gate will be, but they came in thru Cottonwood Canyon/upper Box Canyon. HTH John

hot

Thankfully the forecast calls for cooling temps coming from 102 degrees on Monday back down to 85 degrees by the time Sunday comes around.

Anybody feel like picking up a hitch hiker? I'd love to join, if anyone has room that is. I'll be in Tucson for 5 days, and don't have plans this weekend. My 40 is in Boise, or I'd definitely bring it. Let me know... thanks!!!

Looks like i'm in! Planning on bringing the wife and kiddos too (5 & 7). Anyone else bringing kids?
