Shahzadee maintenance log (81 Stock FJ40)

I grew up riding in Land Cruisers, from early model 40s to late 80s. Although it did not do anything for me at that time but somewhere I feel in love with 40s and I started dreaming of owning one…
This dream finally came true a when I bought my Stock Blue 81 FJ. It would be an understatement to say that I am thoroughly enjoying the experience.

I have done some minor work on it already, MUD had been an excellent source of information, Thanks guys!!

I know pictures are required, so here you go.

That is one sweet looking 40. Very nice purchase on your part.

What are your long term plans with it? Leave it stock, minor modification to enhance it's off-road capability, or get all crazy with it and make it an off-road monster?

Man, that thing is pretty. I've got an '82 that looks nothing like yours. In fact, I haven't had any time to work on it at all, which has been a bummer. Congrats on yours! Enjoy! If you get a chance, would you mind snapping a few pics of the engine? I'm trying to track down some missing parts. Thanks.

Hope you keep that dry in the garage. Nice! Great Color!

Not meaning to hi-jack the post but....

Taro, try toyodiy.com in order to find parts for your year of 40. It's a bit clunky but has about every part number listed and helpful diagrams.

Thanks, I plan to keep it looking like how it rolled out of the assembly line.

Anything specific you are looking for?

Very nice. Amazing shape. Any idea if it is original or a restoration?

I see some signs of repaint on some body parts but as far as I can tell it is an original or an old restoration.

nice, and it's blue :bounce:

Great Yoy! Congratulations, love that colour
