how much is the adapter? do you have to lengthen the front driveshaft and shorten the rear one?

Mudrak just replied to my email. $1050:frown:

Again, that is the biggest setback on making an FJ-60 a ROCK rig.

As for TRAIL duty, 33's and some 4.88's and you will be doing OK. I think I will be fine for places like Gilmer and Hot Springs with stock gearing and 33's as long as I don't need to do much crawling.

Keep it SUA, get some 33's, weld the rear and beat on it.

How big are you trying to go? I like this guy's SOA setup, not too big, maybe just enough to run some 35's.

Some agressive cutting will put some 34" LTB's under there pretty easy.

Get a Hell Creek lift for like $500 or 600 and call it a day. 2" body lift and put 35's.

SOA is over rated.

That's not out of the question.

I think the idea of spending your budget on gearing rather than height is solid. Either 4:88's or some kind of crawl box will get you alot of places on some 35's. Remember Tim in that black Taco? Basicaly a stock height truck with a crawl box and some skid plates.

Whatever you do, it's fun kicking ideas around!

Taco Tim....classic. I wonder what happened to him? He used to take that Taco to Poteau with us when we were all running 38's and he was on 32's.....that thing GOT it.

So, gearing the axles deeper than 4.11 is going to cost $1000 any way you cut it. So, what do you get for $1050 from Mudrak? I PROMISE the 203 setup will get you MUCH better trail abilities than 4.88's or 5.29's and if that kit is mostly complete then it is worth the extra $$.

Jes, if you want to get rid of the wheels I need them, if you plan is to keep them I understand........:meh:

Let me know.

What does that get you..... just the adapters??

I emailed Gary and asked him that question. I am sure you have to get your own 203 box, but I don't know if that comes with a shifter. I bet not.

"You will need to make your shifters. The kit comes with everything to mate two t cases together
Thank you,Gary"

that is the response I got from Gary.

So I'll need shifters plus driveshafts, and the NP203. Maybe a crossmember??

Am I better off swapping to a 40 tcase so I can expand my gearing options?
