I used my foot and look what happened!! I could use some of that super glue. I forgot to put the penny on the truck for luck! Noworries I should have her tied back up by Wed. if I can get the pump local. I am glad the convertor is OK. That would have been alot worse than that pump. I am using the time to move some stuff around underneath and cleaning up that part. Then I will get everything back in there and give it another test drive. I will go a little easier at first this time. But I will make sure it is unbreakable before you get her back. Also I have a gift for you to aid in the opening of your Hieneken's. Courtesy of Mr.Cruiser crap. Where would you like it mounted? Are you off?

Hell - I might just start to throw in a beer popper for each one of your amazing vortec installs!:lol:

It was great to see such a nice FJ62 in person, I still miss mine!

You can use your judgement on the mounting location, I trust you.
Thanks for the thought.

That is one beautiful rig you got there MMW! I especially like the bumper and wench.

Thanks - I put a lot of hart and soul into it, but it's gone..:crybaby: I drive a nice FZJ80 now.

That bumper is a JK custom special, Jason does great fab work, I guess we can just ship your truck down to Austin when Randy is done, and Jason can put some bumpers and sliders on it!
;)

I may need a little financial recovery period before I start making any more modifications, but the sliders might be the next add-on.

A popper for each Vortec...That's a deal!! Just as long as you keep the black hats to an exclusive few:grinpimp: The tranny is over at Kelly's place. I forgot to get the pic's while we were tearing it apart but so far all is good just a good cleaning and inspection of every part is where we are.I will get pics as we go tomorrow so you can see how much stuff is on the inside of the auto. I will flush the covertor tomorrow after work. Oh and let's beat up on Mark to get a 62 up to me for some real fun. And that is one sweet FJZ...Nice and clean but it still isn't a 62:D

iaintscared: You definitely have a nice way of doing these Vortecs. Every detail sweated, everything done nice. I especially like the transfer case support. Nice clean work. I like it.

I like them nice and clean but functional. If I can break it then it wasn't built right. The best part about those X-members is that you can add a skid plate to them without alot of hassle and fabrication. Plus that is 1/4 inch wall and plate it will take a shot. Glad you like the work so hurry up and blow that tranny!

Anyone take interest in the 3FE motor and auto tranny that formerly resided in this truck? It's got to find a good home and soon! If not, e-bay here we come.

Just joined and had to chime in on this thread!

I Know How To Break Em!

I know how to break them. Here are the pics of the damaged pump. The tranny is back together with no other damage and is all fresh and new with upgrades just delivered to the house. Thanks to Kelly for taking care of her on my late night at work. And for Mark getting her to me. It is down to crunch time!!

OK, Cruisin60 gets the 3FE.
I just read your e-mail Randy and I'm glad that's taken care of, especially the fact that it's upgraded with heavier duty parts. One less thing to go wrong down the road. I appreciate everyone who helped out with the cause.
And thanks Tom: shes getting sweeter everyday.

Randy, the FJ62 has a OEM fuel pump in the tank, why not use it? I noticed the frame mounted fuel pump, and the nice set up for the FPR. Just wondering... ;)

-Mark

The MSD pump runs 85 lbs max and the vortec requires 62 psi @ 0 vac. The cruiser pump would be borderline on maintaining @ full throttle. But I could use one in tank pump but then if you have a problem out it comes.

Tranny Update

Well Cruisinfj60 came by and helped me get her all back together and THANKS A TON! But the bad news is...YOU CAN'T STAY OUT OF THE GAS! Perfect shift and hard accelaration. Time to get her ready to go home!:bounce2:
