Congrats on the H55!

It'll feel like a whole new truck :D

Planning on any clutch work while in there?

Yes, Georg loaded me up w/ new LUK clutch kit, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, new pressure plate bolts... :p

BOOYAH! I love it. Make sure to post up more pics along the way.

Its all in and runs great. Need to finish twin sticks and shifter boots. Got the extended shackles on and she sits pretty level and and rides good. I'll post up pics later.

Nice work J!! Let us know how she drives!!

Ok guys, I took a few pics during the install. Not as many as I'd liked but had my hands full. One of my guys from work helped out. I can assure you the more help the better.

All in all a great and productive day... Started at 8am and finished the test drive around 6pm. Not too shabby for a transmission swap out, shifter, front shackles, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, u-joints and fluid/filter change.

So, here we go: To start, man was it nasty under there ( 27 plus years/207k miles of grim, leaks etc...

Shot of flywheel. Had this re-surfaced at the local machine shop to remove the old chattering, grooves etc..

Dropped the pan and re-main cap. I can say that this was the most frustrating part.. Getting the pan off with out bending it, removing the old hard cork OEM gasket, and putting it back on. Mine was a PITA.

Rear crank journal and bearing was smooth as a babies butt, everything looked great in there.
