Jeff and others - the CG called me to inform me that two spots opened up and "my friends need to call them ASAP and mention that they're with Ali". Sue is the one who left me a msg, has a southern accent but Jill is the owner. They will try to put y'all in the same area.

shame your family isn't coming but I bet a spot will open up. Even if it doesn't, i bet you can pop your tent at any of the sites since it's so tiny. Kumar and Hickory are having issues at their end.

Question for you all, I'll be coming now with my son and brother in law and tent camping. All the "official" sites are booked. There isn't an issue with roughing it up in the mountains a bit is there? I haven't camped in this area before.

You can do it. On the national forest land be sure the check the Motor Vehicle Use Map for legal camping corridors. You might also check apps or sites like iOverlander and freecampsites.net

keep an eye on this thread as people will cancel at the last min. However, the closest primitive camp is on the trail to Yankee Boy basin and it'll be min 25 min one way to/from our CG. The FS campground, Ampitheater, is closer but you need to book it in advance. They may have walk in sites but that's a popular CG so close to Ouray. 2Manycruisers may end up cancelling, up above. Also, Kumar may be cancelling as well.

Well.... this is a huge bummer after getting the Runner, but if I have to quarantine it is going to jack the beginning of an already jacked semester.

Okay plans changed again the family is going to be able to make it now since school doesn't start until after Labor Day.

Justin and I were able to switch Spot #10 over to me. Rebekah from 4J called me and said I now have two spots reserved #10, and #12.

JGonzales you should call 4J and take Spot #12 if you still want it. If you don't want it I will put it up for grabs again.

The deadline to cancel is Thursday, so spot #12 will be cancelled then unless someone lets me know they want it.
