Approximately 4 months until “go time”.
GSMTR is only 4 weeks away. Bring out your 70 to join up with other 70s to prep for the gathering.

IN RESPONSE TO A FEW EMAILS........
We do not charge to attend. (Windrock does however require a permit)
We do not inspect your vehicle. (It’s your responsibility to make sure your Cruiser is up to the task)
Its a 70 Series event however owning a 70 Series is not required to attend. (We do have a 1 Jeep limit and it’s already filled).
Understanding that we’ll have Land Cruiser owners who have NO off-road experience while others enjoy climbing vertical walls before breakfast, we’ll make every effort to cater to each group. (This is basically a social event and every effort is made to assure that you have an enjoyable time among other Land Cruiser enthusiast).

I am planning on taking a trip down to the smokey mountains coming weekend. Any tips, trails, places to visit places not to visit.
You could spend days at Windrock and still only see a small portion of it. I would also recommend Nemo’s Tunnel and perhaps Brushy Mountain State Pen. Really depends on your interest.
I was watching your recap video of last years meet and greet, looked like a blast. Some decent trails, river crossings, and nice views on the mountains.

If you encounter a delay to your schedule that causes a miss this weekend, GSMTR runs 14-20June so the Cruisers start gathering next Sunday and won't depart until Father's day. i.e., A temporary setback would yield a great opportunity.
I wish, i was not aware of GSMTR until today. To short of a notice to switch things up.
Probably also not viable but due to the added distance ... the Relic Run is this weekend

In past events we’ve had very limited numbers of LJ’s, RJ’s or even KZJ’s show up so if you own one bring it on. It’s your chance to show the “heavy duty” guys that you’re just as tough.

Did you buy skid plates for a 70? I've been looking for some for years now...Absolutely NOT.
Odd Iron Off Road fabricated the skid plates for my previous Land Cruiser but I haven’t installed any on my current truck.
Like most good shops they have a substantial backlog of work.
