Might have to make a pit stop tomorrow for a few things

#5 and #6 plugs, granted they all looked carbon fouled. I'm going to assume due to some of the carb problems I have been having. I should probably go through it and get it cleaned up soon.

All of my pics are obviously taken in California.....it's a nice place.
I was over in central California driving around near you…. Came and left early morning/late night or I was going to hit you up. Got into elk but no shots

I was wondering if you bagged anything.
Nope. Close with my bow a few times but couldn’t poke it (hehe). Was rifle this last week and they were 800 yards away in howling wind.
But one bull jumped out in front of us in the road, hit an ice patch and flipped over. He was on his back kicking in the air trying to get flipped over and when he got to his feet he was running on ice in place like a cartoon. We were able to track him through the fresh snow for about 5 hours and 4-5 miles. Saw him a bunch of times but no shot opportunities. Finally we came out at 75 yards and he hoofed it for a deep nasty hole, about 1500’ elevation loss in what seemed like 10 leaps for him. We decided he could live and cracked a beer.

Turned back at 2 miles today, winds were kicking, snow was about knee deep. The trail became nonexistent after 1 mile, after that it was a mile of bushwacking to the ridge crest and trying to stay on the sunny side.

@rkymtnflyfisher looks a little dry up there. Even drier here in the CO mountains. Hopefully that changes soon.

Definitely boney up there still, I made it to 7,100ft today and found knee deep snow on the north facing aspects of the ridgeline, the southern exposures were spotty at best. Thursday evening we're expecting some weather to dump some fresh stuff in the high country.

We'll see.

Keeps getting better.

Beautiful Pictures. Thanks for sharing as we live too far south to see them tonight

My mom sent some pics from Oklahoma, they were visible down that way apparently.

A nice place to visit, but I wouldn't live there. I have family in California and they have said for years that the taxes are too high, the cost of living is high, and that it's always burning, flooding, or shaking. But when I visited it was beautiful and the weather was perfect.

Road trip tunes. It's always good to get out on a long road trip and see the good Ole USA. Family gatherings, old fashioned oven baked turkey, black Friday traffic, college football in Norman, OK., and miles upon miles, hours upon hours, of hammer down driving across the plains up to the mountains.

One song came on and summed it all up.

Almost 3,000 miles down in the last week, more to come tomorrow.
