One (1) set of rear Ambulance Doors from my '79 FJ40 for sale.
The ambulance doors are:
- virtually rust free (2 small pin holes)
- media blasted to bare metal
- epoxy primed (zero bondo)
These doors were part of my FJ40 top restoration, but I've decided to sell and convert to an Aqualu rear tailgate along with my new tub.
Based on recent prices from e-Bay auctions, I figure I've got ~$600-700 in parts alone:
- ambulance door shells ~$400 - 500/pair in non-rusted out condition (very hard to find without rusted out door bottoms)
- ambulance door hinges ~15 each or $60 for 4 hinges
- amby door access panels ~15 each or $30 for 2 panels
- amby door handles, lock tumblers, latch mechanisms, striker plates & door key ~$50 for 2 doors (when you can even find these parts)
- amby door glass windows ~$30 each or $60 for 2 windows (original Toyota TEQ engraved glass)
The above prices do not reflect my additional investment in media blasting, sanding, and expoxy priming the doors and access panels. Everything you need to convert to ambulance doors except for door and glass seals.
I'd be willing to let the above parts go at a package price of $600. SHIPPING IS NOT INCLUDED AT THIS PRICE.
All door parts are bagged as sub-assemblies and labeled. The lock mechanisms work fine but could use a good cleaning with brake cleaner and then coated with grease/lubricant before re-installation.
ALSO AVAILABLE: Rear hardtop cross-member (amby door one). If your top is already set-up for amby doors, then you don't need this part. If set-up for a liftback then you'll need it. The part is completely rust-free, media blasted and epoxy primed...$65 plus shipping.
Parts available for pick-up or inspection in Charlotte, NC area.
