So that piece you’re in need of for the steering column. I’m trying to figure out what it is.
Is it just the piece that goes under the column to bolt it to the support bracket which is fastened
to the round pipe?

The spot welded piece that is behind the steering support, where this support is bolted up to in the red circle. I think there are six bolts that bolt to this piece.

Got some of that fancy Toyota electrical tape, although it doesn’t say Toyota or anything on the cardboard roll? Maybe I got ripped off? Oh well. Onwards.

Time to patch holes and weld nuts.

Here are the plugs. Lost one of the small ones so had to make another

Forgot about these two mounts, which I believe are used for mounting the air boxes.

Missed another hole to fill, it’s the ac water drain hole

Holes filled. Got to figure out what to do with the empty bolt holes.

I think I found a good alternate to welding all the bolt holes closed. I will use these plastic plugs from Lowe’s. I had to slice a little out of the sides to get enough collapse to get it in. Probably will use a little silicone or super glue to make sure these stay snug or not rattle.

Finished the lhd install of the steering box and links. Finally something else to check off as done.

Had a little distraction from the truck. Helped my friend switch his 1x3 from winter mode to summer mode

So, one of the things I have to figure out is the plumbing for the power steering.

Another thing to figure out is the brake lines

This is the lhd 86 BJ70 brake lines.

This probably will work. With or without the steel plate to connect the two. Would this steel plate need to be fastened to something solid or if I just cut off the flat piece that the two brake lines are attached to be sufficient?
