I just posted 7 videos on rebuilding an Aisan 2 barrel carburator on You Tube.

Nothing fancy production wise: It is just me yapping while the camera is running.
Good luck and enjoy.
Hey Charlie, thanks again for these.

I have a follow up question - what year carb is this you are rebuilding? Is it a '76?

I ask because in Video #1 (around 6:25), you mention the port that faces forward on the top cover is for the Power Valve:

I was looking at my carb and refreshing vacuum lines and asked about that port. As I was searching around, I saw this post from Jim C where he said most Power Valves are connected internally, except '75-'76:

That particular carb is a CA ‘76 that was originally sold at Stancil’s Toyota in Placerville, which is notable as the first Toyota dealer in the Western US.

I had two carbs: One that ran and one that I used only to pass my smog check every two years.
Thanks Charlie! I missed your reply.
Can you comment on my power valve question? (Above ^^^)

Hello, I’ve watched your carb rebuild videos and felt I would be able to rebuild my 1983 fj40 carb. I have it removed and started to disassemble it. Suddenly I realized it’s too intimidating and I have no confidence in spite of your excellent videos. Would you be willing to rebuild my Asian carb?

Carb work isn't for everyone. You are wise person to stop before you rip it apart - damage/loose pieces and make it a basket case.
There are a few folks here that do carbs - Maybe post in the wanted if you don't get results. Besides $ ask about the time. Good luck
