I have two FJ55, the 74 had the contacts burnt off. I added the relays first to take the high amps off of the key switch.
Then Matt Kroff on the FJ55 Spacebook found and posted about this remote.
This is pretty cool! I am assuming this is mounted close to original power strip in the tailgate?

Yes, the plastic plate is mounted to the factory contact mount.
