I come from the 80 forum with a plea for help. I have a 1990 22R truck that won't stay running at idle. If I am in traffic I constantly need to stoke the gas to keep it running. I believe it has something to do with the MAF. IF this is a common problem please let me know. If I can find it in a previous thread please give me a link.

Is it a 22R (carbed) or a 22RE (EFI)?

How many miles? When was the last time you checked the basic stuff like plugs, wires, cap, rotor, timing, valve adjustment?

If it's EFI, there is an adle adjustment screw on the throttle body.

It's fuel injected, I'll take a look at the screw before I ask anymore questions.

Fuel filter? Fuel pump? OX sensor? TPS?
