Ok I just now realized that the settings have been censoring what I have been reading. Newb mistake I thought people were doing it to prevent being kicked off the forum. I have fixed the problem. Just call me Sush.

Go ahead, I deserve plenty of s*** for being a dumbass. I didn't figure it out until it censored me when I posted crap. I really should have known better. John if you are reading this I am not using astricks and you need to change your settings.

Wow!
There was so much on the last page and a half to quote I just gave up.

Greg is right about my preacher. He says Hell. He tells us regularly that many are going there.

Andy ,Sush2, Astrix Boy, has learned an important lesson here. That we cuss on mud. Playground cussing for sure. I have read on the Cottonland forum these playground cuss words.

Damn especially used with the word HOT.
s***, used in the context. "my truck is s***."
Hell as been covered.
Is crap a cuss word?

There are other more Richard Pryor type cuss words that are used more rarely. 3 post back Jshush used the f:eek:ck. I have not heard my preacher say that. But I did have a preacher use the word p:princess:ssy when he told a joke one night. Even I was taken aback. I love the Richard Pryor wordage especially around cruisers and camp fires and I am sure I have offended some by that. Our forum has for the most part used Astrix when it came to these words. I think that is proper unless Jes gets into a bad cruiser deal again and then all bets are off.

As for as Volvo's, if you are going to join this group, I say post away but roll in with one of these.

IMOP this is the only Volvo worth leaving a cruiser for.
Volvo's are worthy of collecting and enjoying. You would join the likes of Colin Powell who loves to go into his garage and working on his Volvo's.

I hope that when you join the ranks of the Swed's that you do your due diligence and keep away from the S40. Spivey and wife have had lots of fun with theirs. They may sell it to you for a steal.

Good Luck with all this. It is alot to take in.

Chris thank you for the explanation. John you have hijacked many threads so I am not surprised, although half of the mud members have put you on there ignore list so it really won't affect the flow of the thread.

I poured in the Lucas oil leak today. We will see if it works it's magic.

I also painted the front bib with 2 coats of rattle can primer sanding in between and 2 coats of rust oleum camo ultra flat khaki. It turned out pretty good. I will post a pic once I put it back on. I definitely am going to use this method for the inside of the tub and probably the rest of the truck.

I measured and I have about 10 inches of clearance from my top and the opening of my 7 ft garage. I will definitely do the 4 inch if it will fit. I don't know how much my suspension has sagged so I measured from the ground to the top of my stock running board and it was 19 inches. Now maybe I can measure someone's 40 with a hell creek 4 inch lift at the next meeting to see how much height I will gain.

Lash, J.O., J Rob and I think Chris has the Hell Creek 4" lift.

I'll measure tomorrow.

My guess is +6.

Rattle Can paint test run

Here are some pics of the front bib. There is a before pic and 2 after the rattle can paint. I used enamel model paint to restore the front emblem instead of paying $90 for a new one. I used rust reformer and RO stain black on the frame after some wire brushing with the angle grinder. Now I have to work on bending one of the gussests and frame extenders back to form before I mount the new bumper.

Wow Andy! Lookin good. Thanks for sharing your progress.

Awesome! Great work Andy....where did you get the paint. Did you buy about 15 cans so you can do the whole truck? I want to come watch you paint the next part you fix ...for technique and what not......the frame cleaning/paint combined with a fresh bib is amazing.....just imagine the whole truck that way!!

Lookin' good Andy. Any news on the motor?
