Will there be coffee in camp this year? Really appreciated the generosity of the coffee sponsorship last year and wondering if I need to bring my own this year.

Carl Montoya of NITRO Gear and Axle is once again teaming up with the Coffee Bear and providing coffee and a hot chocolate bar each morning from Thursday-Sunday.

Huge thanks to Carl for doing this. He’s been with us every single year. Something to remember when your 100 needs new parts.

Tim Nakari of Gamiviti and Mike Smith of Bump it Offroad are hosting the opening night party. Something to remember when your 100 needs new parts. These guys have also been with us every single year.

Ben Calhoun of Dissent Offroad has also been with us every year and has revolutionized our raffle. He stepped up early and often when we were just a group of 30 camping in the rain together.
Something to remember when your 100 needs new parts.

Our sponsors and supporters are an enormous part of HIH. They’re all super good dudes. Please take the time to find them at the event and thank them, or find out about their products and just chat for a bit. They’ll be on the trails with us and sharing meals with us at night. Trust me, you’ll walk away feeling as though you’ve made a new friend. These are quality guys who also happen to build, invent and create fantastic products for your truck. Buy from them because they make great products and feel good about spending your money with a friend.

according to the trail registration, coffee will be served every morning.
Thank you Carl, mornings without coffee are difficult.

Missed it in the schedule; maybe I should open the app :)

Carl -thank you so much. In addition to being an important part of the morning routine, I found the coffee bar to be a fun way to connect with folks in the morning. Thank you for your generosity!

ONE DAY! ONE DAY! ONE FRIGGIN DAY I WILL FINALLY GET FRONT AND REAR DISSENT BUMPERS!!! I hope @benc bring his 200! I've been drooling over that thing on Instagram for quite a while now!

Almost got myself a Gamiviti roof rack, but I got 50% off the Rhino Rack backbone and Pioneer Platform. In fact! I am trying to put the platform on right now....12 hours before we leave....I think I am doing it wrong too!

CAN'T WAIT TO BE IN THE BETTER WEATHER!!!! I'll even take 55 and rainy....105 heat index with oppressing humidity is just too much.

Thanks again guys! I got a spot in Mesa Verde for Monday. Like the Haviland option but don't want to pass Durango Monday night then head back into town Tuesday!
Plus I haven't been to Mesa V. NP before so that'll be cool!
Mesa Verde is cool. It will be hot though. Not as hot as Palm Springs, but still hot and about 8,000 ft above sea level so wear some sunscreen.

@aaronrules he is taking it. I asked him on Instagram last week. I’m looking forward to seeing that thing too

Stopped in at Coffee Bear every morning for HIH7. My group loved them. Happy we can support their cafe and I get my coffee ration even earlier every morning!

Two great places to visit while you're in town are the Coffee Bear (they've moved down the street) 1309 Greene St. Silverton, and The Chocolate Dog. Chocolate Dog ( 303 Greene St, Silverton) is owned by DeAnne Gallegos who is also the Chamber of Commerce director and a member of the town board. She was instrumental in getting HIH to Silverton and is an enormous supporter of our event. She truly makes that town better and is one of the very few people that are originally from Silverton. Her store has fantastic gifts, candy, wine, art and jewelry. Last year, the HIH8 folks gave her the best sales day her small store had ever seen. Stop by and see her and let her know you're with HIH. She'll be at the opening night party and the raffle as well.

I bought a really cool trout coat hanger that you screw to the wall from her store (chocolate dog) last year and I'm looking for a couple other cool additions to the collection this year.

So I was going to try and read through all these posts. But that's a challenge that I am not ready for, 80 pages...... For anyone shooting up 285 on Wednesday morning if your willing to take on a another let me know what time you'll be hitting the Conifer/Aspen Park area. I'll be departing that morning from there... my home base and would like to tag along with a group vs. flying solo.

Finally finished! These last two weeks have been so hectic trying to figure out what i need and what i don't. I guess it's part of being a first time camper and hih'er.
I tetris'd the crap out the car, pretty impressed with myself to be honest.

Hitting the road in 4 hours, i can't wait for the cooler weather!

Oh man, I could have backed out for a 50% refund by today!? NOT A CHANCE my dudes - I'm already over 1500 miles on my way!

I've been having a good time with the family trekking a somewhat out of the way arc through the country over the last few days. We're spending the weekend with some family in Oklahoma before heading to Trinidad, CO on Sunday and then figuring out the rest of the way into Silverton by Wednesday.

I'm not bugged one bit about trail closures - I am excited to reconnect with the fast friendships that I'd made last year and would honestly be fine with chilling at camp with some Coffee Bear or a beer and taking in the already stunning views from our basecamp at the Kendall Mountain Rec Resort Grassland Whateveritscalled.

PS - I haven't posted a ton, but if you want to see any of our crazy, feel free to watch as I 'do it for the gram': Outdoor2Morrows (@outdoor2morrows) • Instagram photos and videos

@ibrahim83 Good luck. We’re still in the states, so you can procure what you need in route or on location. The HIH folks are awesome and could probably source from their stash and repair any issues that arise. Relax, enjoy the drive and safe travels.

Thank you!
I'm honestly not too worried about issues arising at the event as much as issues on the road. I've got a set of tools in back, coil pack, and coolant hoses just in case.

My next concern is having enough energy for the drive considering what will be a good lack of sleep and boring Texas highways.

Hopefully the excitement will keep me going.
